If you want a quaint German hotel like it was in the olden days, try Gasthof zum Rassen. Our room for 4 on the first floor shared the bathroom with the 12 other rooms. So if you needed it urgently when someone was showering, good luck. More like a hostel than a hotel. Good street party at Christmas.

Came here with a group of 6. All the food looked amazing. Potato cakes with applesauce are top notch. Farmers sharing platter is epic (better be hungry😜) Apple strudel to finish it off was fantastic. Kaspastvin sp? Was great like Mac and cheese with crispy bacon and onions Worth the visit.

We did not stay here but we had the privilege of eating here. A traditional menu is offered. We sat outside and the beautiful weather added to the pleasure of the evening. The service was very good. The server continually went in and out to make sure we had what we needed. The food was outstanding and the prices were...

3rd visit in 12 months. We live coming here. The meals are hearty and flavorful with very large portions. The Schweins haxn and a large salad easily fed two in our party. The house specialties (mushroom) on the first page are delicious. This first page is not translated into English but don't skip it. Super comfort food deserts. Worth the...

I highly recommend visiting Partenkirchen, which is the older part of the city. We were walking in the old town and needed a place to stay. Gasthof sum Rassen was right there, and they had a room. We parked in the underground parking garage behind the hotel (more about his later). The room was spacious but ordinary. We were surprised...

We ate lunch there and frankly it was disgusting and overpriced. Ordering roasted pork is one of the safest bets in Bavaria because they have really mastered the art of serving it to perfection. In this restaurant I knew we were in trouble when the menus came covered in grease and what I hope was a small piece of congealed...

We tried this quaint little Bavarian restaurant out and were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious! I had the pork tenderloin with mushrooms sauce & spatzel while my friend had the red fish, both were so yummy & filling! I also had the fresh apple strudel with ice cream and savored every bite. The waiter spoke English and was very...

Nice and cozy place to stay for few nights. Nevertheless if the aim is skiing - it is kind of far from skiing slopes. Staff doesn't speak much English. We could have saved lots of time if they would have explained us where to go and how to reach slopes. In the room it was either too cold or too...

I arrived without a booking on a busy weekend - it was the Ski World Cup and I hadn't realised- but the staff here were extremely accommodating and helpful. I was allocated a spacious, clean comfortable double room with en-suite bathroom for the first of three nights although I had to move to a room with shower room down the...

Terrible staff, rude, I think no wifi in the rooms despite their claims, they're not at all helpful, the rooms are 70s although the bathroom was nice. On top of this they added an extra card charge the following day and when I disputed this physically attacked me, initially refused to let me go to an ATM, and stole my...
