Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was one of the cheapest places to stay during Oktoberfest, so I thought, what the heck. I do like camping so i figured I'd like it cause I knew what to expect. it's easy to get to this place. it's about 5 minutes away by walking to the campgrounds from the very end of the U2 line of the U Bahn. Then it takes another 5 minutes from the entrance to the Oktoberfissa campsite. Having said that, it's not near the Oktoberfest grounds. It's easy to get there, but it takes about 25 minutes on the Metro, and then you have to walk for another 5 -10 minutes. it's not a deal breaker, but I know some people who found it difficult getting back after a few pints of beer :)

As for the camp site itself, they do provide all the basics. For those people who don't like camping though, i suggest just book a room at a cheap hostel or hotel because you won't like it here. They provide air mattresses so it was comfy, but the sleeping bag and blanket that they provide is not enough. it got really cold at night, i had to wear layers of clothes before i was able to sleep comfortably. They do have heaters inside the tents, but those weren't enough for all of us (I heard it's worse in the private tents). So yeah, more heaters for each tent would have made a huge difference in terms of comfort.

The toilet and shower facilities were surprisingly good and clean. And no, unlike in another campsite, they don't charge for the use of the showers. the facilities were quite a walk from the Oktoberfissa camp site though, about 5 minutes away. Not a deal breaker, but kind of a hassle if you wake up during the wee hours of the morning because you have to pee and it's quite a walk away.

Breakfast is free. it's pretty basic but it's free and it was filling so no complaints there. They also rent out lederhosens for only 15 euros! You do have to give a 50 euro deposit though. But unless you completely break em, they return your money with no questions asked. The staff were kind of a mixed bag. Some were friendly, cheerful, and really helpful. Some though looked bored and couldn't be bothered.

The atmosphere was great. everyone seemed to be in a party mood and looking to make new friends. There's also a party back at the campsite after the oktoberfest tents close. Dunno until what time it lasts though. When i fall asleep around 2 AM it was still ongoing.

So yeah, this is an okay place to stay as long as you don't mind the fact that it's quite far from the Oktoberfest site, and if you don't mind the fact that it gets really cold at night. If you want to stay someplace closer to Oktoberfest, there are other campsites that are closer and a bit cheaper, but with more negative reviews. If you hate camping though, just shell out the extra cash and stay in a cheap hotel or hostel. Going the cheap way would just ruin your Oktoberfest experience.

We rented a 2 person tent here for 3 nights for Oktoberfest. The grounds were clean as was the tent/sleeping bags. Some staff was drunk and not super helpful most nights and some were downrignt inappropriate.. Also its fairly expensive for what you get (..a tent).

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY! They apparently use 3rd parties to place your bookings its not directly through them which is utterly misleading on their website. Due to ill health and loss of a dear family member 4 days after making a booking we cancelled. Told deposit was non refundable and now the remainder of the booking has been taken despite clear email asking to cancel and refund was sent. Multiple emails back and forth of what seems uneducated replies with one email stating cancelling after 4 weeks takes 35% deposit then another saying 100%....WE CANCELLED WITHIN 4 DAYS! This is apparently because they have to pay third parties for the bookings and can't recall the costs!!! Awful experience sound very unprofessional via emails and doing little to send me even a penny of our booking!!!

We had an amazing stay at the Oktoberfissa campsite in Munich during the Oktoberfest in Munich 2016. The location is perfect, just by a metrostop which takes you to the Oktoberfest grounds in about 20 minutes. We stayed in one of the dorm tents and this was really awesome. A heater, sockets to charge your phone and we hung out with our roomies/new best friends during our whole stay. The breakfast provided was awesome; coffee/thea, juices, fresh bread & croissants, toasters, fresh fruits, spreads, cheese, salami, et cetera. Breakfast was also a great way to meet other travelers in the morning to spend the day at Oktoberfest with. The staff was super friendly, helpful and did everything to give us a great time. Further the camp was a good mix of party and chill. Fun and outgoing, but not too crazy/wild and dirty. It was perfect. We cannot thank Oktoberfissa enough for a great stay! Would definitely recommend and in the future we will return for sure!

I asked about the supermarket which is mentioned on the website. The manager and gis wife got very aggressive. He ripped my phone off my, breaking my lanyard, only gave me phone back when i threatened the police. He tried to rip my arm band off, again only stopping when i threatened police.
Stay on the site as its ok for oktoberfest, but dont try any questions or complain.

Luckily this year the camper parking area has returned to its usual place, congratulations for the location and the organization, this time also the toilets worthy of a camping site!!, the advice I can give is to put more chemical drains for the camper one is insufficient for the amount of people, otherwise top!!
