Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a terrible experience. They are renovating one of their buildings here and every morning at 7am they would start drilling on the other side of our wall! It's like sleeping in a construction site. I don't get how they even dare renting a room that shares a wall with construction. Complete disrespect. We could not get any sleep here at all. In addition the beds are quite uncomfortable. Reservation process was very unclear and the room we got is not at all what we were expecting. And than there's a washing machine, which was important to me as we will continue our vacation camping in an RV without access to laundry. So there is a washing machine here. But no dryer! The dryer is in a different building. I mean WTF??? People are supposed to carry their dirty laundry outside and walk to the other building and back. And even when you get there, there are only 2 dryers. And a line of people waiting. This is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel it at all.

Pros: - Close to old town. - Clean. - Staff genuinely tried to help with queries. - Washing machine in apartment was an advantage. - Breakfast is excellent (but expensive at €19 per person). - Nice patio area with a bar in main reception. Cons: - 'Double beds' just turned out to be two single beds pushed together, with two flimsy duvets: N.B.: this is *not* the same thing as a double bed and should not be advertised as such. - Kitchenette is miniscule - essentially a cupboard with two hobs and as such completely impractical in an apartment hosting 7 people. - Dryers are communal, situated in the basement (and don't do a very good job of drying).

Fantastic stay. Rooms were good. Kitchen was well equipped with basic appliances and the furniture was of high quality. Bathrooms were also great.very comfortable stay - will definitely stay here again! Centrally location adds more value to the property. From check in to check out a fab experience - got upgraded at check in and then they gave our kids small gifts at checkout :)

Hi, An average, I travel worldwide twice a month and have different kind of experience regarding the hotels, but this City Aparthotel Munich is by far the worst. On the site stayed, the is a parking "nearby" - it is not true, there is about 10 min drive around blocks, very inconvenient. The costs mentioned 15 euros a day, but I paid 72 euros for 36 hours . I booked a suite, to have a convenient space, but what I have got for the price of almost 700 euros was shocking. This is a small added building in the dark and dirty gateway, where we had an entry door opened from a street right to the bedroom. When I came to the reception and ask for another room, I was not treated as a valuable guest, but as an annoying bagger - so unprofessional. When I ask to talk with the manager, I was told that "she is already at home" - it was 15.30 on Friday by the way, when many people arrive for the weekend. There is very basic equipment, hard beds, poor quality of the materials, and most of amenities we get use to have in the 4* hotels just weren't t here. Oh, and the the staff act, like this is the best place in the world and everyone much feel happy just being there. One thorough inspection is absolutely needed to downgrade the rating and ideally change all management. Sincetely, Lady Natalie

We've arrived in Munich after a wonderful vacation in the Austrian countryside, to was we expected to be the urban long weekend finale of our trip. We were a group of 2 families, each with 4 members (2 adults and 2 small children) and the vacation, including accommodation and transportation was booked over 6 months in advance in order to have everything just right. Once we arrived at the hotel and went up to our room we saw that a few things were off (the toilet seat was not connected to the toilet ceramic, the bathroom sink had a problem with the stopper), but to our horror we discovered that the room was bordering a construction site, and that the noise in the room from drilling and hammering was as if they were drilling right next to our bed! It was really unbearable and we couldn’t bear staying in the room and had to go down to the lobby. We went and spoke to the receptionist who told us that there was no other room available. That got us angry so she went and got her manager who proceeded to condescendingly tell us that: 1. He was not responsible to anything happening outside his hotel 2. Do we want another family to suffer from the noise? 3. The works are done during the day, and we have no business being in the hotel except during nighttime When we pointed out that we've booked months in advance and they he should have put us in a quiet room or not book anyone to the loud rooms he replied that 1. Ordering in advance does not guarantee a quiet room 2. We can cancel and go away if we want Now to my speculations: 1. He knew that if we cancel we'll have to pay X3 or X4 in another hotel (due to our early booking) 2. He may have wanted us out to try and rent out the room for more 3. He put us in that room deliberately so that if we cancel, he'd lose less than if someone that came in on the last minute cancelled (as they would have paid much more) To add insult to injury, the manager said that the works shall not begin before 09:00 in the morning, and we woke to ear splitting hammering at 07:15. In conclusion: me and my family will - never! - stay in or give any business to this chain or anything related to it, ever again. By far the low point of our vacation.

We came as a family group for just shy of 2 weeks. The units are hit or miss, AC wise. Two of our 7 rooms were in the newly acquired buildings and had great air-conditioning but most of the family were in the original section where the air conditioner was constantly broken. Unfortunately it was a very hot time and many did not sleep well. The front desk staff, with the exception of a woman named Anna, were exceptional. They were accommodating, kind and fulfilled our minor needs. The one woman Anna, was a constant thorn, and extremely rude. Should she have been the one who ran the front desk, we would’ve left. Luckily she was only on a few hours of our trip. Santiago, Lucas and Daniel were EXCELLENT. What a crew the hotel has acquired. In a time where many do not want to work, we were lucky to have been surrounded by such professionals. I would highly recommend the people we encountered and hope that the company that employs then realizes the gems they have. Overall it’s a great location and nice folk.

had a 4 night stay here in may 2022 (should have been 2 years earlier but covid struck) rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was very good with plenty of options, location was great, handy for trams and easy to walk to old town, the staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, especially santiago who gave us great information and directions, nothing was to much trouble, our reservation was held over for us and we were glad as this hotel was excellent, would certainly recommend this hotel and if we went back to munich would definetely stay here, thanks to all the staff, Doug and Liz

This is a plain, utilitarian hotel with minimal charm. But what it lacks in charm it makes up for in convenience. The room had a washing machine which we desperately needed by that point in our trip. The room was large even by US standards and allowed us all to spread out. We are a family of 4 and each of the kids were able to have their own twin fold out bed (I did ask the hotel in advance of arrival if they could set the room up like that and they were happy to accommodate.) The children appreciated not having to share a bed for a few nights. The hotel is walkable to the tourist areas. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
