This Pullman is a great hotel if traveling for business since located outside the city center – not the best choice if traveling for pleasure. Stated during the last weekend of Oktoberfest and this was the only available property at a reasonable rate. The Lufthansa direct bus from the airport stops right outside and is super convenient. A few restaurants nearby (stop by the Trattoria and see Fausto!) and a little grocery store. Also some snacks and beverages for purchase in the lobby.

Room was nice size and clean. Breakfast can get a bit over crowded and hectic in the am especially if a tour group is staying in the hotel and all decide to hit the breakfast room at the same time. Also, plan ahead if a taxi is needed since many do not wait outside.

One thing that was worrisome and disappointing…. Flew in from the US and arrived hours before the check in time. Was told I would need to pay in order to check in early or else wait until the afternoon check in time. Seems a super shady way to take advantage of guests. Once I agreed to pay the extra euro, a room was ready. Horrible way to start your stay. And whether or not you are a member of their “hotel club” should not matter in granting a room.

Dear Michekara, thank you for taking the time to evaluate us so thoroughly. Your assessments are very valuable to us because they help us to continually review our standards and, if necessary, take appropriate action to improve them. Our regular and guaranteed Check In Time is at 3pm. And for the member of our ALL Hotel Program the early check In is free upon availbility. Even if rooms are ready we have to hold them for the member of ALL Hotel Program. So we hope you can understand this aspect. Still we hope you enjoyed your stay with us and wish you a nice day! Kind Regards, Your Pullman Munich

I have stayed at this hotel before and it seems to me that now they are just content to get by.

As other have noted, the location is in a nice quiet area but you can easily travel around with the U-Bahn.

The rooms are well appointed but there were many stains on the carpet, which should be replaced. It was the same in the hallway. Cleaning in the room was approximate, there were things on the carpet from previous occupants and dust on the lamp.

I found service very average. I had taken a rate with premium WIFI, which was to come in handy as I had to hold a videoconference. When I asked at reception if I had a login code, they just said use your room number and name, so I did and I ended up with the standard WIFI. Why advertise and charge for a service you do not even bother to provide? At this point, I’d had enough and just did by with the standard WIFI.

In the elevator, it stated that you could decline room service in order to reduce contacts. So again, I went to the reception and did so. The person at the reception said OK and that was that. But, sure enough, I found that housekeeping had cleaned my room when I came back. You’d think that after 2 years of pandemic they would get their act together on this topic.

To conclude, it is a nice hotel in a nice area but you can get overall very average service.

Location: it is not central! It is in a residential/office location, 50m from a train line into Marienplatz (which could be considered the tourist centre). The train takes only 10 minutes, but when we visited construction work meant a bus replacement which added 15 minutes. The hotel is rather bizarrely located in what seems to be a converted office building, but the location is very peaceful. Signs are awful, we walked round the entire hotel before finding the entrance!

Rooms: Superior suite was fine, very good beds and spacious. A couple of broken bits (poor plaster, hole in the door). Decor is standard business hotel. Poor selection of English TV.

Restaurant: didn’t use it; there is a cafe round the corner offering breakfast at half the price.

Overall: pretty weird, probably would not stay again due to location, but pleasantly peaceful.

We stayed 2 nights beg. Of June 2022 in this hotel and it was a succession of disappointment.

Starting with the check-in, 10min waiting time, welcome without empathy by the receptionist. We had  a suite on 5th floor (554) but no direct lift to 5th floor, so every time you have to go to 4th floor, then walk all the corridor around and take the only lift for 5th floor. Please note that this lift is also the lift used by housekeeping therefore always busy and you have very often to wait before getting the lift empty.

Talking about housekeeping : the first morning, while taking the shower I notice that the shower gel dispenser was completely empty, we notified it at the reception but it was NOT filled in at the second morning. Please note that you are showering in a bath tube, not a walk-in shower and if you are taller than 1,85m the shower is too low for you. The balcony is ridiculously small for a suite.

After our arrival on Saturday afternoon, nice sunny weather, we wanted to have a drink in the inner court of the hotel where they  have a bar and restaurant, several people were sitting outside with drinks. After 5 min a waiter came and told us that it’s not possible because it ‘s closed for private party tonight. In a normal hotel, you would have been informed by email before your arrival that the bar&restaurant were closed during your stay, or at least during your check in, in that case nothing. They played music very loud, for us not a problem because we were going out but I am sure that guests with small children were happy to enjoy loud music until 10pm.

Breakfast, catastrophic, the layout of the buffet is so bad that there is always a queue, the two coffee machines were out of order every 5 minutes because full of coffee grounds. Yogurt still with supermarket price tags, poor cheese and sausage quality. The poor breakfast staff on June 6th was really doing all what they can to limit the chaos but there is a clear lack of management, there was one hotel manager walking all the time among the breakfast guests in his custom-made suit, looked very busy but did not do anything to improve the situation.

I am regular guest in Accor hotels in Europe, this one was by far the unpleasant stay, I had better stays in ibis Styles hotels from the same group

Although not in the city centre, we found this a perfect base for our visit. The airport bustop is just across the road - €17 return every 20 mins- and ubahn station on the corner, just 4 stops and 10 mins to the centre. It's a quiet neighbourhood with nothing really to do at night but there is a pub/restaurant/beer garden near the small park 5 mins walk away which has a nice atmosphere, popular with locals and good food. The English garden is 10 mins away and its possible to walk through it all the way into the centre, takes about an hour but its a nice walk.
The hotel is a modern 'business' hotel with lots of positives: very comfortable, quiet, spacious room with balcony, good breakfast, large garden area, 12 o clock check out, friendly, efficient staff.

I just returned from a 3 night stay, which all in all was OK and I slept well, but overall the hotel is more Novotel or Mercure standard within Accor group, but not really premium Pullman. The good things: location close to metro station with easy access to city center and quiet neighbourhood, no noise from busy streets or so. Rooms are OK, but bit outdated, i.e. no USB charging points, and bathrooms rather small with hardly any space to leave your washbag. Breakfast was a bit uninspired, offering same items every day and lacking some standards like beans or cakes or so. Still good enough to not leave hungry, but air condition unnecessarly strong in the breakfast room. What needs to be improved most urgently are service issues with housekeeping and front desk. On the first day housekeeping staff knocked on the door, I told them I would be out of the room in 10 minutes, but coming back 4 hours later the room was not done, only in the late afternoon. On the second day no housekeeping at all. And it seems to be random, whether and how much of coffee, tea and toiletries they replace. Also staff at reception needs better training, they didn't know about the benefits of Accor loyalty scheme, they forget to print an invoice, don't ask how the stay was and more. I would stay here again only if I can catch a good offer, otherwise I will look somewhere else when coming to Munich again.

Usually I have a long list of complaints about some hotel, but now it is very hard to find any. Well, maybe there could have been more than one electricity socket on the writing desk and more greens at the breakfast buffet, but otherwise the hotel was just perfect. Best beds ever and clean, quiet and recently renovated rooms and other premises. Rather conventional breakfast buffet with sufficient gluten-free options was also nice, as well as well-working wifi, friendly staff, and great location next to U-bahn station, airport bus stop, grocery store and many gardens.

We were back in Munich after a two year covid imposed interval and went ahead with the trip despite the late cancellation of the Christmas markets. This was our first time staying in this hotel and will definitely be back

The hotel is located in a quiet area in the upscale north Munich suburb of Schwabing. The U bahn station is, however, right outside the back door of the hotel and it’s only two stops to the lively Munchener Freiheit district with its bars and restaurants; and only eight minutes to the central Marienplatz. The Olympiapark is close by and the airport is only 20 minutes away on the Lufthansa coach which stops at the back door. All in all, a really good location.

The hotel itself is very well appointed in a modern style and very comfortable. The staff were terrific, very friendly and helpful and doing a great job under the very difficult covid restrictions which are impacting all hotels and hospitality outlets. Safety standards were very good and there was no sense of any safety issues.

Food and beverage was limited by covid but a full breakfast offering was available and food in the bar was very good.

It was my first time in that hotel.I have to say that I was disappointed. The breakfast was prepared for me on a tray. Unfortunately a lot of things as missed and I had to ask a few times. The person which serve myself was very helpful but totali overwhelmed. In the evening in the ristorant was only a little selection available and really not good. Better to say that they have only the bar open and only some small things available. Also there the person was very nice but also there totaly overwhelmed.
Room was nice and clean.

We chose this hotel on account of its very convenient location for Munich airport (25 mins with the Lufthansa bus, almost to the door) and the city centre, 15 mins away by underground.
Our room was a very good size and well appointed. Beds were good, as was the shower room. Everything was very clean.
Breakfasts were good, with an excellent buffet choice. There is a casual bar/restaurant for meals in the evening, very much of the pizza/pasta/burger variety. We ate there once; it was adequate but nothing special.
Our only complaint was the impossibility of obtaining a blanket. They are apparently available but none were forthcoming in spite of several requests.
If returning to Munich, I would probably stay here again.

Hi, the Lufthansa airport shuttle stops outside Nordfriedhof u-Bahn station a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is non-stop to the airport (about 30 minutes), leaves every 15 minutes and costs €11 (pay the driver) or €10.50 (book online). You don’t have to be flying with Lufthansa to use the shuttle.
