In one word it's good. It's so simple and clean. A man is on the front desk was very helpful. I had earlier check in. absolutely it is clean and warm. you can take a hot shower with clean towels. the bad totally comfortable and i sleep well. the worst thing walls are thinner than paper but if you're you... Hotel Amba stays on not bad location but it is very old hotel not good looking hotel. Staff is ok. If You need just one night sleeping it is ok but not more then that. Stairs, elevators, garage, everything is very old.

Location is the strength of this hotel. Located 3mins away from Hofbaunhof. If you're staying for a night or two then this hotel can give you advantages. Only 5 mins away from the gate of old town. Across the airport shuttle. Price is reasonable. Near supermarket and internet shop. Our room is very small. The beds and pillows are all... More

The actual room of this hotel was OK! It was a nice, clean, very plain room. For the cheap price it was perfect. If you are wanting to be close to the train station... this hotel is perfect. However, if you are wanting to be close to the centre of Munich this is a bit of a walk! If you... More

Stayed overnight at the Amba, wasn't too sure about the choice because the reviews weren't great. Let me shoot the bad ones down the hotel was great for many reasons ; location ( next to the main station and plenty of good eateries in a short distance) The staff were friendly and helpful. With a 9 euros plentiful breakfast couldn't... More

This basically felt like an overpriced hostel. We stayed as a family in two separate rooms, super cramped. The bathroom is tiny and no way can more than one person use it at a time. The hotel is directly across from the train station with LOUD noise at all hours of the night. Street noise was unbelievable - no one... More

We would not recommend this hotel. It's noisey - you are across from the train station and the police station. The tram runs through the middle of the road all night long. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the people around you. The bathroom was tiny. It didn't feel clean. My sheet had 2 holes in them.... More

We stayed at this hotel during the Oktoberfest. The location is very close to the Central train station which makes it great for Oktoberfest and anywhere else in Munich. Otherwise there is not much else that can be said about the hotel except that is should be of good value any other time else during Oktoberfest. Everything is pretty average:... More

The hotel has a very good location, just opposite the north gate of Munich Hauptbahnhof. The breakfast is very good but the rooms needs to be cleaner and the receptionists ,except for Christine, needs training on how to deal with guests. Christine has been very helpful in the full sense of the word not to mention her valuable advice regarding... More

The hotel is not fancy of good looking as you might expect. However the location is great. Walk in 5 minutes into the city centre. Across the hauptbahnhof so easy with your transfer from and to the airport. Friendly staff and it was clean. If you want to sleep quiet. Ask for a room at the back. Its quiet compared... More
