Hotel Strobl is in the centre of the suburb Baierbrunn following the S7 train line just south of München. There are just a few rooms, each with a spacious bathroom. Granted that the TV sets are a bit old and that the selection of channels are a bit limited but that allows you to explore München instead of wasting time...

Arrived having been told to leave Gasthaus Rabenwirt - see my TA report. The contrast could not have been greater. Martina (?) insisted on carrying our 2 cases up to our room. Excellent bedroom. Super bathroom, lots of cupboards and shelves and quiet once the church clock stopped at 10pm. Extra pillow quickly found, fridge if needed and pleasant views....

We were travelling to a wedding in Grunwaldvand this hotel was in close proximity to the venue. We arrived by car from Budapest and used google map directions which were pretty poor and misleading. We eventually located the hotel which was set beside a beautiful little church. Check in was a little slow as the reception wasn't staffed. However once...

We stayed here for only 1 night in June 2008. It was in a nice quiet suburb of Munchen. We stayed on a Sunday evening, so we had to take the train back into the city to find dinner, but it was only about a 20 minute ride. The room was very cheery with blue and yellow decor. We shared...

I have just had the pleasure of staying in the Hotel Strobl, the hotel itself is spotless, clean and very tidy. The rooms are a good size and well equiped. The only thing lacking in my opinion is that there are no Tea and Coffee making facilities in the rooms. The mini-bars in the rooms however are totally free of...
