A pleasantly retro hotel - my German girlfriend had stayed there long ago - and even though it may seem slightly 80ish, we found it pleasant and clean, with a friendly front desk staff (always there) and a good location. The breakfast is good, too. The hotel is located at the southern end of Schiller strasse, in a quiet area,...

We stayed here on 3 occasions in October, 2015 for a total of 14 nights. They gave us the same room each time without asking. The room was quiet, not too small, had 3 extra chairs, a coffee table and writing desk. The window looked out onto a courtyard and a quiet street. The breakfasts were perfect and not overdone...

TIP - If you go to the Hotel from the main Train Station you have to walk 3 blocks through an area you might feel is slightly seedy and/or questionable. No problems just be aware of this. We didn't have any issues but my wife walked very close to me here. TIP - If you can go to/from the public...

If you ever want to experience the Germany of forty years ago this is the place to be. It's charmingly old fashioned. The room we were in was small but spotlessly clean and comfortable, the bathroom recently refurbished with a shower although the water pressure was low. Breakfast was not lavish but good The star is Frank the concierge who...

We've been here with the family: us and the kid, 4 years old, plus the grand parents. Due to our miscommunication, we booked rooms for all besides us. So we arrived the day of accomodaion and we+kid had no room. The owner was very helpful. Although he had the hotel almost full, he offered us a triple room instead of...

Overall, this hotel is fine to lay your head down in for one night. Bathroom was clean, as was bed linen. Rooms small, but have all you need. Utterly appalling decor straight out of a 1980's flashback nightmare, but then I guess some people like that thing. Staff are a mixed bag: some very friendly, and others somewhat dour. Breakfast...

Stayed here over the weekend for the Christmas Markets. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes to Marienplatz. The walk is pleasant and not bad (even in 4C temperature). It was close to all of the markets and was in a quiet location off the beaten path. The street is well lit and well...

Located a short walk from Hauptbahnhof down a street with lots of strip bars Turkish food takeouts and a couple fruit stores. I liked getting a chicken wrap from this one place for 5 euro including tip. I also liked looking at the strippers dancers as they stood out on the street grabbing a smoke. My wife would say look...

Charming and adorable old world hotel in the heart of everything Munich! We just returned from our stay at Hotel Kraft for the final weekend of the 2014 Oktoberfest. This hotel was located perfectly about 3-4 blocks straight down from the "Wiesn" and quiet/safe location surrounded by the University. The staff at the Kraft was so pleasant & helpful with...
