The Euro Youth Hostel in Munich enjoys a great location just 100m from the main station and a few minutes from the pedestrainized city center. The hostel is housed in a beautiful old building but has modern amenities (eg free wifi in all areas). Some of the biggest attaractions of the hostel are the fantastic international atmosphere at the lively hostel bar, the friendly, helpful and multilingual staff and the bright, clean and spacious rooms.

When I was checking in at the reception after I got to the hostel from the main railway station early in the morning, I realized that I had left my wallet on the train, so I ran back to the station (the hostel is only a few-minute walk from the station) and I just left all my stuff “spread out” at the reception. The receptionist was kind to take care of it while I was away and when I got back he gave me a free coffee to compensate me for the trouble I got into (the train with my wallet had already left the station before I got back to the platform, fortunately, late in the evening the train return to the station and my wallet was with the ticket inspector) and he even offered me that I can take a shower. The place has a locker room where I could leave my backpack till I got back in the evening.

The hostel is modern and secure: one is provided a card that he/she needs to use to enter his/her room and the floor where the room is located. The place has a lobby and a bar where one can mingle with the other guests, watch e.g. football games on the TV screens and redeem the free drink coupon provided during check-in. The shared bathrooms and toilets of the hostel are clean, beds are comfortable with clean bed linen.

After I checked out in the morning, I could leave my backpack in the locker room again till I got back in the evening. There are several restaurants with different kind cuisines in the neighborhood, I went to have dinner to the one called “Al Qaswaa” with Moroccan food just a few minutes away from the hostel, you can eat tagine made in tagine there, I recommend it. The receptionist was very kind and let me in the one of the bathrooms to have a shower before I left for the train station late at night.

I stayed at a couple of different locations in Munich and this was by far the best one in terms of cost, cleanliness, location, WiFi, friendliness, facilities, etc. so much so that I ended up staying here a few times over a period of two months. The WiFi was amazing, I had 0 problems and I was able to work from my private room. They also have incredible facilities (5 euro laundry, 5.95 breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, coffee, etc.), a bar, etc. The place was spotless and best of all, all of the staff were super friendly, helpful, and always there to answer questions. The city centre is 10 minutes away, and the main train station is less than 5 minutes away where you can find lots of supermarkets, etc. Definitely one of the best hostels I've been to in a long time. Cheers guys!

This is a great place to stay if your travelling through Munich for a few nights. It’s location is brilliant, right next to the main station which you can get the metro from (if in groups get the day group pass) to the main town or it is in walking distance as well from the hostel. We arrived rather late on the first night so spent the evening in the hostel which had a great atmosphere and also offers happy hour! The staff were friendly and nice and the bag store was safe. The room was spacious, clean and comfy, the communal showers and toilets were very nice for a hostel as well. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t great, scrambled egg was cold and burnt. Apart from that the hostel was brilliant and great value for money.

Me and my friends stayed at this hostel for 3 nights.

The building on the inside is very nice and clean. The room we stayed in was very spacious.

In the bar area there is happy you 4:30-8:30 where beer is around €2.90 a pint and is very nice. The pizzas were all very nice and for a reasonable price. If you have just arrived after travelling and would like to eat and relax, the beer and pizza was perfect for that.

The immediate location is not great as is very busy and with road works - but once you get past that it is ok. Would recommend use of electric scooters to get about quickly.

The hostel is also over the road from Munich Train station which is convenient for arriving/leaving.

Staff were awesome - positive and chilled.

In summary the building, bar and staff make this a very nice hostel to stay in.

Would rate this experience highly and would 100% recommend to others.

Amazing hostel! Clean and friendly staff

Make sure to ask for your free welcome drinks and they say if you book on their website it's cheapest.

Very clean. They charge 2E for towel but if you ask nicely they will wave it.

The room was well-equiped (4 chairs, big table, sink with a mirror, curtain etc) and just enough spacious for four people. The toilets and showers were seperately and also relatively well-maintained.
We spent two wonderful nights here, without a real problem except the fact that we couldn't open the window for the night because of the noisy street.
The place had a nice bar and also breakfast possibilities. Being truth to its name there were lots of cheerful young people and in the evening there were all kinds of events (beer-pong, karaoke, etc.)

Overall, I can easily recommend this place for everyone, though its price might be a bit high.

Stayed here as a solo traveler for one night, in a 3 bed dorm. The others were a guy from SG and a girl who didn’t want to talk at all (except to say she had asked for a females only dorm, but won’t talk to reception about it!!).

The hostel itself is great. Well located (10 mins walk from railway station and major sights), has a good bar and a 24 hour front desk as well as baggage storage. Dorm had a locker (enough to store one large suitcase but that’s it - bring your own padlock or rent one from hostel), bed, charging point with each bed, pillow and blanket. There are common showers and toilets outside the room on each floor. The room I was in didn’t have much of a view or viewing window, only a small window for ventilation. I bought a bottle of water at 2 AM from front desk and it wasn’t a problem at all!

Perhaps my only grouse is that the room didn’t have AC, though I am told this isn’t uncommon in Germany. Without an AC or a ceiling fan, ventilation is a problem and prevents you from sleeping, esp in current EU heat. We had a desk fan but it didn’t do anything for me as I was on top bunk bed (avoid this if possible by reaching early!).

This apart, would fully recommend the hostel and would stay there again in Munich.

Stayed here for 4 nights in a private room with shared bathroom.
Below main pros and cons in my opinion:
Pros:
1. Very convenient location: Just 5 min. walk from the Munich central train station. All modes of transport available within walking distance.
2. Cheerful and friendly staff.
3. Super cheap drinks at the bar.
4. Single room I was in was clean. spacious and reasonably comfortable (Had to ask them for an additional pillow since the pillow that was there wasn't too great).
5. Shower room and toilets were clean and functional.
Cons:
1. The rooms are not really soundproof which can be quite bothersome if you have extremely loud people staying in the adjacent rooms.

Great location, right next to Munich HBF. Clean and tidy rooms, breakfast isn't included but is all you can eat for about 7€. Worth it with a selection of meat, cheese, bread, cereal, hot and cold drinks available.

Was given a token for a free drink when I checked in, was allowed to store my bag until the room was ready.

Reception staff were really lovely and knowledgeable, spoke fluent English and were really helpful overall.

Would definitely stay here again.

A really nice hostel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the amenities are really up to standard. We loved our stay and are lookong forward to go again since the price is also very reasonable and competitive with others nearby. The bar is also a plus for anyone willing to go there. Highly recommended.

Not really . Narrow sidewalk . No special playing space. Many cars and a lot of different people as it is so close to München Hbf (main train station )
