I stayed at a couple of different locations in Munich and this was by far the best one in terms of cost, cleanliness, location, WiFi, friendliness, facilities, etc. so much so that I ended up staying here a few times over a period of two months. The WiFi was amazing, I had 0 problems and I was able to work from my private room. They also have incredible facilities (5 euro laundry, 5.95 breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, coffee, etc.), a bar, etc. The place was spotless and best of all, all of the staff were super friendly, helpful, and always there to answer questions. The city centre is 10 minutes away, and the main train station is less than 5 minutes away where you can find lots of supermarkets, etc. Definitely one of the best hostels I've been to in a long time. Cheers guys!…
When I was checking in at the reception after I got to the hostel from the main railway station early in the morning, I realized that I had left my wallet on the train, so I ran back to the station (the hostel is only a few-minute walk from the station) and I just left all my stuff “spread out” at the reception. The receptionist was kind to take care of it while I was away and when I got back he gave me a free coffee to compensate me for the trouble I got into (the train with my wallet had already left the station before I got back to the platform, fortunately, late in the evening the train return to the station and my wallet was with the ticket inspector) and he even offered me that I can take a shower. The place has a locker room where I could leave my backpack till I got back in the evening. The hostel is modern and secure: one is provided a card that he/she needs to use to enter his/her room and the floor where the room is located. The place has a lobby and a bar where one can mingle with the other guests, watch e.g. football games on the TV screens and redeem the free drink coupon provided during check-in. The shared bathrooms and toilets of the hostel are clean, beds are comfortable with clean bed linen. After I checked out in the morning, I could leave my backpack in the locker room again till I got back in the evening. There are several restaurants with different kind cuisines in the neighborhood, I went to have dinner to the one called “Al Qaswaa” with Moroccan food just a few minutes away from the hostel, you can eat tagine made in tagine there, I recommend it. The receptionist was very kind and let me in the one of the bathrooms to have a shower before I left for the train station late at night.…
We went for a short stay in Munich. The hotel was very nice and it was only a 15 minute walk to the city centre. You could also get an S-bahn which was very close. The double room was quite big and clean. The bar was cosy and every day there was happy hour, a nice place to meet new people and a great atmosphere. Bathroom and shower were very clean. The only minor thing was the doors made a hard closing sound which echoed through the hallway and you could hear into your room.
Just a stone's throw from the Hauptbahnhof (Central station), this hotel offers both individual rooms and dormitories. It offers good value for such a central location. Washing machines and dryers are available for a small fee, which is also handy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the walls are paper thin - combine this with the sort of clientele the place attracts - people who are inconsiderate of the impact of their noise on others at unsocial hours - this is not the best place for a good night's sleep. I stayed for a few nights and was woken or prevented from sleeping every other night - unruly children shouting at 7am in the morning (and parents allowing them to do this), a couple arguing at 11pm one night, another night parents trying to put a crying baby to sleep at 11pm and leaving the door open for the whole corridor to hear.…
Very well-located (by main train station), super-clean and well run hotel. Not a hostel, as it doesn't have a kitchen (or even fridge), or other hostel-like amenities. Certainly good value for the money, and even validates parking for the garage next door, just probably shouldn't be in the lists of "top hostels in Munich".
A really nice hostel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the amenities are really up to standard. We loved our stay and are lookong forward to go again since the price is also very reasonable and competitive with others nearby. The bar is also a plus for anyone willing to go there. Highly recommended.
Stayed hear a while ago but this place was clean and great atmosphere, great staff, had the continental breakfast here which was better than most places great.location not far from the main station ,will be back here 1 day
Stayed for a few nights whilst in Munich. It's a large hostel, but so you can kind of 'get lost' among the masses - however, easy to meet people if you don't mind hanging out in the bar. Good service, knowledgeable staff, nice bar, nice food. Location is great for the exploring, and very close to the train station. If you're in the dorm rooms, can get a bit noisy - but no more than to be expected for a hostel.
This is a great place to stay if your travelling through Munich for a few nights. It’s location is brilliant, right next to the main station which you can get the metro from (if in groups get the day group pass) to the main town or it is in walking distance as well from the hostel. We arrived rather late on the first night so spent the evening in the hostel which had a great atmosphere and also offers happy hour! The staff were friendly and nice and the bag store was safe. The room was spacious, clean and comfy, the communal showers and toilets were very nice for a hostel as well. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t great, scrambled egg was cold and burnt. Apart from that the hostel was brilliant and great value for money.
Stayed here for 4 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. Below main pros and cons in my opinion: Pros: 1. Very convenient location: Just 5 min. walk from the Munich central train station. All modes of transport available within walking distance. 2. Cheerful and friendly staff. 3. Super cheap drinks at the bar. 4. Single room I was in was clean. spacious and reasonably comfortable (Had to ask them for an additional pillow since the pillow that was there wasn't too great). 5. Shower room and toilets were clean and functional. Cons: 1. The rooms are not really soundproof which can be quite bothersome if you have extremely loud people staying in the adjacent rooms.
