I tried to find a hotel in Munich to join the Octoberfest madness rather on a short notice. I found this little jewel! It is located very close to the fest, easy 20 minutes on foot. central railway station is nearby, the same applies for Mareinplatz. Prices are reasonable, the breakfast great, the attitude, friendliness and vibe of both the... More

We really loved this hotel. The only reason that I didn't give it a rating of 5 is that we got there at 8:30 pm and the registration was already closed. They did leave an envelope taped to the window with my name on it. It contained the key to our room and instructions to locate the room and use... More

The bombastic name of this hotel is rather deceptive. The "Gartenhof" in reality means a garage area, where the entrance to this hotel is. The situation of the hotel is rather good-a walking distance both from the central train station and also from the historic center of Munich. Also among the pluses of this hotel are friendly reception, spacious rooms,... More

No, not the Ritz, but very helpful and friendly hosts, clean and comfortable. We were allocated a room that has a kitchenette, so perhaps had more room than others. Twin beds that were really comfy, full size couch, plenty of storage space, and a fan provided as it was very warm while we were there. The bathroom wasn't anything to... More

From the welcoming "Gruss Gott" when we arrived to the cheery "Auf Wiedersehen" 48 hours later, we felt so comfortable with this charming little hotel. Tucked away just behind the main street, the hotel is a quiet oasis of calm, close to the city centre. We walked from the central railway station to the hotel and the walk to the... More

This hotel is not big, but my room was really good and big enough. It had a small kitchen space, a big couch and a table/desk. The 2 persons bed was really comfortable (room 9 if you're interested). The only not-so-good thing was the shower, there was almost no separation in the bathroom so everything could get wet if you're... More

We stayed here with our 3 year old daughter for couple of nights over Easter. The room was very spacious, she had her own "room" with curtians which she loved. Bathroom was very clean and the room as well. We managed to leave the pushchair folded at the entrance. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Great price for being 15mins walk... More

This hotel is not a luxury destination, but for it's size and situation it is very good value for money. The rooms were spacious and the facilities good, although tea and coffee-making equipment in the room would be helpful. The shower was a little small for me (but I am 6' 5!). Beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel is... More

We have just returned from a great weekend in Munich , the weekend was topped off by this great hotel. The hosts are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. We had an early flight home on the Sunday and they went out of their way to ensure we had breakfast. The room was very comfortable and so clean.... More

The hotel is located only a 10 minute-stroll away from Alte Pinakotek, one of Munich hot spots in a student neighbourhood. Rooms have seen their better days - the overall equipment is a bit old and shabby, however rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel staff was very helful and welcoming. Breakfasts up to standard. There was a parking lot -... More
