This is a very basic motel located in a quiet residential neighborhood, which is not in the Munich city center. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city center. Alternatively, there is also a tram stop nearby. There is also a supermarket across the hotel.

The room is modern looking and small but very clean.

The breakfast is very simple and basic.

Have just returned home after spending New Years Eve here. Great value for money, Breakfast self service, great choice of food €11.50. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have a room on the top floor which over looked Munich. On New Years Eve we could see the fireworks over the whole of Munich which lasted for around 2 hours. This Motel has great transport links to the centre, use Google Maps and the timings for transport are 100%.
Going to Munich then use this Motel.

Booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at nearby Olympiastadion. The hotel is located near Olympiapark in northern Munich with a stop for public transportation (bus and light rail) right infront of it. There is also a parking garage at an extra cost. It was a 20 minute from the hotel walk to the stadium which was very convenient. Public transportation to Schwabing just takes a few minutes, the city center (Marienplatz) can be reached with one connection in under 20 minutes.

Received a very warm welcome at the front desk and got our room including the request for a quiet room right away. Everybody of the hotel staff was extremly friendly and courteous. The lobby is nicely designed as are the rooms. We liked the design concept of Motel One with the fresh blue colours quite a lot. Got a room on the third floor which was very clean and featured comfortable beds. Nothing to complain!

There is a bar (very nice after the concert) and an outdoor patio with nice chairs. Breakfast buffet is at a 9.50 Euro extra charge but was excellent, too. Fresh fruit, cereals, choices of bread, no hot choices but we liked it a lot.

Definitely a place to return to when again in Munich. One little thing to complain about is the elevator. There is no choice button to go up or down, just a call button. So the elevator stops also when going in the wrong direction. So you have to go the wrong direction first or keep waiting. Maybe the hotel can do something about this soon.

This place is ridiculous. Wanted to add a day. Trying on the same website a day after my initial reservation. The website bombed, citing issues. They do not pick up the phone, I tried for a cumulative 3 hours over the last month. Calling another branch it said to contact via email, still no response, it then said contact via website, still no response.
This is totally unprofessional. Shall they be staying in business? I doubt it very much!

Great budget-style option!

We arrived one day earlier than expected and it was no trouble to change our booking. We also arrived earlier than check-in time and the room was ready.

It is a 3-star hotel so missing the extras (coffee maker, phone, fridge). But makes up for that with super clean rooms and friendly/helpful staff.

Close to bus station and easy commute to centre city via bus/tram.

6 night stay recently...upon arrival it was lovely to be greeted by smiling, friendly staff at reception....check-in was efficient and lots of useful infomation given re transport to the city, dining options etc as well as map. Room was small but adequate and everything worked well....bed was comfortable and shower had good water pressure. Any time we would have a question the staff always answered politely and nothing was too much trouble....enjoyed having a few drinks in the bar each night too....very safe family friendly neighbourhood and tram/bus stops outside the hotel....would recommend.

We chose to stay here as it was close to family whom we were visiting. Excellent public transport links made it very easy and quick to get to all the key Munich venues. Quiet and pleasant location, you feel happy walking around. There is a garden at the back and a supermarket just across the road.

We stayed for several nights and had an excellent experience. Very good breakfast. Outstanding staff. Being on holiday we tended to breakfast late; the staff always go from table to table to warn guests when the breakfast buffet is about to close. Bar staff in the evening were exceptionally friendly and pleasant to deal with. Again, very nice staff at reception who quickly sorted out any problems or questions. Clean, modern with nice rooms and pleasant décor. Very good value for money. Will definitely recommend and revisit.

Love Motel One! Rooms are small but perfect, great design, there is free street parking in the neighborhood! Supermarket and bakery/coffeeshop just across the hotel. There is a streetcar that connects you to the subway system. Great Wifi! Will come again!

The hotel has a great location with bus station and tram station infront. It is few minutes walking from Olympia Park.
The price was reasonable when booked early. Garage 9 eur a night, dog 5 eur a night, breakfast 11.50 eur a night 😀. So we ate in a nearby bakery shop as we were 5 persons.
The room is smaller but comfortable. Wifi and AC worked good. We had a nice view into the small garden.
Bathroom was smaller but ok, with own ammenities.
The room could be cleaber, we saw taraces of dogs hair on the carpet and (it was a room for people with dogs but still).
The staff from reception to housekeeping was super friendly!
All over, when we go to Munich, we will use this hotel again

My boyfriend and I were in Munich for just a couple days finishing up our trip to Berlin and Prague....My neighbor had just stayed at this hotel a couple months prior and highly recommended it to me (in fact he's there right now again!). I was very happy for the recommendation as we really liked this property a lot! the hotel is situated in a somewhat quiet neighborhood near Olympic Park (which we sadly couldn't make it to) but very convenient to bus lines and just a couple stops from the U-Bahn. the rooms are quite small but comfortable and the TV seemed to have a lot of options (though I wish there were some instructions for using it - we fumbled for a bit trying to access the channel guide, etc). We were greeted at the front desk by Carsten (?) who was so friendly and welcoming and answered any questions we had. as soon as we were settled we came back downstairs and checked out the amazing gin collection at the bar and spent quite a bit of time chatting with Lucas the bartender. Great ambiance and friendly people in there too. After a couple gin and tonics we hopped on the bus to Muncher Freiheit and found a great, local German restaurant. the breakfast in the morning was reasonable and very good.

All in all this was a great hotel at a great price and I would definitely stay here again. I wasn't familiar with the Motel One chain (which is fairly new) but now I know to seek them out wherever I may travel in Europe!
