Booked the day before, the hotel called us and gave us the pin code to access the building and our room, and that’s basically all we needed to know.
Easy and practical this B&B is very good solution for those who don’t look for a luxurious accommodation but for a clean room with the most important and basic comforts ( hairdryer, TV, private bathroom etc.). I will definitely come again.

Stayed for one night as a city trip, perfect hotel on a perfect location.
More than enough room at the hotel car-park next and underneath the hotel.
Check in went quick and friendly.
The hotel, the rooms and bathroom are clean and up to date, breakfast was good with a lot of choices.
The city-center is a 10 minute walk, the underground metro station is next to the hotel.
I will come back !

Good, clean hotel.
Best value for money for a family! Even has A/C in the room.
Nice staff: booked Friday night to arrive Saturday in the evening and the staff called us up to check us in before the reception closed. Very good service!
Also has cheap parking in underground locked garage.

We stay here every year for the toy fair in Nuremberg.

It is a basic hotel but it is perfect for what we need. The rooms are warm and comfortable, enough space for clothes and cases for a long stay.

Breakfast is included and it is a decent breakfast. It is right next to a u bahn station which we have to catch every day to the messe.

The hotel is centrally located opposite the city wall.

The only downsides are that the lift is incredibly slow and there is only one, you mainly have to use the stairs.

The towels are a bit small and the reception staff can be a bit unhelpful.

None of this will stop us staying here again next year.

Our lift has a standard speed programmed to accommodate old people too, that is why you might find it "slow". We only stayed for one night in December 2011 as we boarded a river cruise the next day. It is 500 meters from the Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof, directly opposite the Old Town and directly next to the U bahn. The rooms might be on the smaller side, but you only need it to sleep, we were out and about the whole day. We also really had a good nights sleep. The next day we went to do a few quick sightseeing things and it was awesome to only book out by 12:00. We left our luggage for safe keeping and collect it again after 14:00. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We didn't do breakfast, but there is a lot of places you can go for that. If you need an affordable but well run hotel, look no further.

The staff was rude and unhelpful. The rooms were dirty and "motel" feeling. Not a family hotel in the least. More like the type of hotel two young people backpacking across Europe would stay in to save some money. Location is good, it's right outside the walls of "old Nuremberg". But do yourself a favor...stay INSIDE the walls of old Nuremberg....WAY better atmosphere

Dear GreJes, I am really sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel. In the time you have been in Nuremberg the famous Music Festval "Rock im Park" took place. In this time Nuremberg is in a kind of "state of Emergency". Maybe this is the reason why you felt uncomfartable with your family. I hope to welcoming you in our hotel another time. You will see the difference... Best regards André Stock

We spent three nights at the B&B Nuernberg-City on our tour through Bavaria. We can only recommend this hotel. It is nice to finally have a reasonable-budget / high quality alternative to most of the what we think are overpriced hotels you find in Europe.

Location:
The B&B is located next to the Opera house right in front of the historic city walls, perfectly situated for exploring the historic city center on foot. The central train station is an easy 5 minutes walk away.

Parking:
There's a limited number of free outside/inside parking spaces available. From talking to staff, it seems that the B&B might start charging for parking starting 2012. There's a side street right next to the B&B offering public metered parking spaces (free parking overnight until 8am).

Rooms:
We stayed in a double-room on the 3rd floor overlooking a side-street. The room was very well maintained, very clean, and had a pleasant feel to it. The hotel seems to be pretty new judging from the overall appearance of all facilities. The room was good-sized with plenty of space for luggage. It had an open-styled wardrobe cabinet, a small table with 2 stools, and a small flat screen TV attached to the wall with German, as well as, a few English speaking channels (i.e. BBC). In order to enter the room you have to punch in an access code instead of using a key/key card. The bathroom was basic, but nice, very clean, and good-sized. Except for towels, 2 plastic cups, and liquid soap dispensers in the shower and at the sink, no further amenities are provided for (bring your toothbrush/paste, hairdryer, etc). The shower was actually very nice having an actual shower door so water wouldn't spill on the bathroom floor; a problem you always seem to have in a lot of pricier hotels. There is no minibar, fridge, or anything similar in the room.

The room comes with free wifi which works very well on your iphone. Once you have 'registered' with the B&B service provider, you can actually check in at a different B&B hotel (after Nuernberg, we stayed at the Regensburg B&B) and your iphone will automatically pick up the wifi signal without having to re-register again. Very cool.

Reception/Lobby Area:
Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. At check-in, you pay for your entire stay upfront, meaning you don't need to check out or return your key; very nice if you're pressed for time. There's a snack and a cold drinks vending machine (sodas, water, beer, etc), a hot drinks vending machine (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc), and a PC next to the lobby restrooms (very clean with a nice smell). It is probably a good idea to buy some drinks/snacks at a local store if needed.

Breakfast:
The breakfast room right next to the lobby is very spacious and bright and has a nice ambient to it. Breakfast is buffet style and, considering price, features a surprisingly good array of foods for every taste (cereal, jam, ham/salami/cheese, canned fruit salad, OJ, fruit mix juice, various teas, coffee, tasty German bread).

All in all, a perfect place to stay!

The room was absolutely fine for 1 night but I wouldn’t recommend it for long stays, as it is compact with no tea/coffee facilities. it was warm, clean and toiletries were provided - great! The bed itself was comfortable, but you may find it necessary to ask for an extra pillow. It’s not the kind of room you relax in, just a space to sleep at a good price. I can’t comment on breakfast as we felt it was overpriced for the selection. There are some fantastic authentic coffee shops and AMAZING bakeries only a short walk away - 10mins and you are in the centre of town! Parking is easy and only €5 for 24hrs - the cheapest we could find and the parking garage is accessed through the hotel. Safe and secure. Expect some road noise & some bustle from the adjacent underground station - it’s central on a main road opposite the old town walls. Main train station is a short walk. Plenty of bars, shops and superb restaurants around the hotel!

There was one letdown was the male staff member that checked us in. He barely make eye contact, didn’t explain much about the hotel and seemed like he didn’t have much pride in himself or the hotel. We checked in about 8pm, so obviously can’t expect major enthusiasm, but a smile would of been enough! The lady on in the morning was much more approachable and friendly.

Good for a quick stay. Budget B&B expectations only!

Dear Celamnea Thank you very much for taking the time writing a nice review about our hotel. It is nice to hear that we could contribute to an enjoyable stay in Nuremberg. We think, that we offer a very rich all you can eat breakfast buffet with a large variety. To be honest I can't understand why you find a price of 8,50€ overpriced. About your check-in experience: I can assure you that I will strongly discuss your impression with my employee. We all hope, that you will return to our hotel if you are back in Nuremberg. Have a nice christmas time and all the best for 2020! Yours André Stock

The hotel is just next to the bus station and also close to the central station and other means of public transport. The area is very quiet, so even with the window open, I didn't hear much noise. It's also a short walk from the city centre, which is very convenient because, in my opinion, it's not worth paying for public transport; Nuremberg is rather small and the best way to see it is by walking around.
The receptionists were very friendly and kept my bag after checkout free of charge.
The room was very small but nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren't. I didn't like the individual duvets for a double bed either. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my stay and would come back again.
