To anticipate: We loved it all and can fully recommend this place. Situated directly behind Nuremberg Castle in a quiet residential area you will find everything you could wish for. Beautiful rooms with original furniture from the 50 years (the unoccupied rooms were visible), a stairwell from the time and a beautiful breakfast area, all decorated with great attention to detail and with modern touches. Our room even had a small balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and free sweets and Grappa (who likes) were also available. And all at a very fair price. Can only recommend without restriction, we loved it. Those who arrive by car should however include the few euros for an in-house parking space (ours was about 150m away), because the parking situation in the area is quite tense.

The hotel is just outside of the medieval Nuremberg city walls in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes walk to the city center and the famous Christmas Markets. It is nestled in two nondescript older buildings but boasts sleek, modern rooms fitted with great beds, a small balcony and even a heated bathroom floor. It has a cozy dining room and sitting area in the main building and served a simple but adequate breakfast. We enjoyed a cordial welcome by the owner, Christina, who arranged for off street parking close by.

Due to a business trip, I chose to stay at Hotel Vosteen, and this was my first time here. It left a fantastic impression on me.
First of all, the room was exceptionally clean and equipped with a mini kitchen along with essential utensils and tableware, which made it convenient for me to prepare my own meals. The staff cleaned the room every two days upon my request, and the cleanliness was impressive. They left the room spotless, and all the used tableware was thoroughly washed.
Secondly, breakfast was included with the room. The variety was quite rich, featuring thoughtfully prepared fresh fruit and freshly bread.
Lastly, the professionalism of the entire hotel staff stood out. They listened to my needs patiently and helped resolve any issues I had. This was truly an unforgettable experience. I will definitely choose Hotel Vosteen again for my next stay.

The rooms are nice but there are many critical issues. First of all the Reservation with booking does not correspond absolutely through the photos attached to the room assigned on arrival and a compromise can only be reached by negotiation (we were initially assigned an attic with windows not all dimmable). Then, and above all, breakfast is a pain: the place is too small for the guests of two rather large structures, the food is scarce (as far as desserts are concerned even bad), the coffee machine works terrible and the only orderly has always been in hiding to escape requests. Also the cleanliness is dubious given the filth we found under a sofa that we would have liked just further on. The vaunted street parking is problematic. It is not a hotel and has almost all the worst faults of b&b.

I stayed at Designhotel Vosteen for two days during my trip from Greece to Belgium and I can say with full conviction that this hotel is a gem. The hotel, built in 1954, has been managed for 18 years by the daughter of the founders of the Klughardt Hotel and exudes a wonderful peace and tranquility.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast buffet. Everything was exceptionally fresh, from the delicious rolls and croissants to the delicious selection of accessories. What really struck me was that there was no need to toast anything because everything was already so fresh and tasty. There was an incredible variety of toppings, which made me enjoy breakfast every morning.
What makes this hotel even more special is the unlimited access to coffee, tea, fruit and water throughout the day. There were also treats such as Prince cookies and chocolate available throughout the day. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they constantly asked if everything was okay.
Design Hotel Vosteen has been decorated in the style of the 1950s with so much attention to detail. Everything, from the electricity switches to the furniture, curtains, wallpaper and taps, exudes the atmosphere of the 1950s. This makes you feel immediately at home and gives the hotel a unique charm.
The hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet area and the rooms are tastefully decorated with large beds and comfortable mattresses. In short, Designhotel Vosteen is a top hotel.
Furthermore, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the center, making it perfect for exploring the city. I took a nice walk along the city walls and visited sights such as the Nurnberg Trials Memorial, the Albrecht Dürer house/museum and the impressive St. Laurentius Church with its sleek Gothic architecture.
There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails nearby, so if you enjoy outdoor activities, this is definitely the place for you.
In short, I highly recommend Designhotel Vosteen to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Nuremberg. It's a charming retro hotel with great staff, delicious food and a perfect location for exploring the city. I will definitely come back!

We stayed in the apartment across the street with our dog and had a wonderful stay. Great location for walking downtown to the Christmas market and other sites, and close to parks for walking and running with the dog. The owner Christina really went the extra mile to engage with us personally and ensure our needs were met. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room had a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Parking was very convenient near the hotel and allowed my husband to commute daily for work while we stayed here. Bathroom was modern and the bed was comfortable. Overall a great value for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Superb hotel in a chocolate-box city totally geared up for the Christmas market. We found the staff to be friendly and so helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and the main sights, including the nearby castle. There are some great restaurants nearby, and the breakfast at the hotel is excellent. The Vosteen was decorated beautifully, we had a room with a bath - great - it's a lovely, quiet location and the owner is a real gem. I would recommend the hotel to anyone

The hotel is small so you feel you are getting personal attention all the time. It was very quiet even tho the rooms all face a common atrium/staircase. There were lively touches everywhere: free snacks, antique finishes, a wonderful tea and coffee bar available all day, period pieces in every room. The staff - especially Giovani - was great. We parked right in site for 9 euros a night. We walked into the old town in about 20 minutes. The only drawbacks were a very small room; lack of blackout curtains; no elevator; and a small breakfast area. But we loved our stay and would definitely recommend this unique location.

Hotel Vosteen is an excellent address! The location of the hotel is great, in a quiet residential area and yet centrally located, close to the old town. Everything is within walking distance and public transport is also very close. The very nice, courteous and friendly staff is great. We were in Nuremberg for a weekend in September 2023 and couldn't have found better accommodation. We stayed in the flats 'Terrasse' and 'Blau' in the apartment building opposite the hotel. Both flats are stylish, very nice and extremely tastefully furnished - and very comfortable at the same time! The 'Terrasse' flat is very spacious, the 'Blau' flat is smaller but quite suitable for a few days even for two people. The breakfast is rich and very tasty - everything is exactly as it should be!

From there it´s two stations to the train station and six stations to the airport.
To the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg it´s only about 15 Minutes walking distance.
