If and when you get a chance to visit Germany, don't miss this exquisite and picturesque little place on Earth called Fussen.

The amazing experience begins with a one hour train ride up to the mountains from Munich. It is a delightful journey..the scenery is breathtaking. Fussen is the end of the journey...so you don't need to worry about when you have to get off the train.

Within 5 mins walk from the Fussen train station, is the Central City hotel.

Unlike many hotels close to a train station, this one is spotless, modern, comfortable and has amazing English speaking staff.

The moment you walk in to the reception area, you are treated like a VIP, with warm smiles.

Fussen is a remarkable village. Lots of shopping, great coffee, restaurants and supermarkets and unique architecture.

And of course, the main reason people go to Fussen, is to view the famous Disneyland Castle The Neuschwanstein Castle.

And it's worth every breath of the journey from Australia to see it!

A top quality hotel for convenience, cleanliness and amenities. You can literally walk off the train and it is 100m away. Very well presented and a short stroll to the old town. I went for the room upgrade and it was excellent. Large , clean , great bathroom and comfortable bed. Like all European hotels in winter the heating is overkill, but in most cases it is just a case of turning he heating down and opening a window. Highly recommended for a stay in Fussen.

My husband, 22 year old son and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2022. We had two rooms, both in the main building.

The hotel is right next to the train station, which is the end of the line. The noise was never a problem. It was very convenient to an ATM, the main shopping/dining area, and to catch the bus to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, as they picked you up at the train station.

Our room was quite large, with a queen size bed and two nightstands, and a sitting area with sofa. It had a tile floor, which we liked. It had a large bathroom, built-in closet space, a safe, a fan, and two large windows that opened up to let in the breeze. It was not have AC, but the fan and windows were just fine for us.

The hotel had a large breakfast area and plenty of options for foods, from pastries to hot eggs and meats, to cheese and cold cuts, and multiple cereals and juices.

I've seen a few reviews about the owner. He is a little brusque, but he's running a very busy family-owned hotel and he's working 18 hour days. If you want a very good value for your money, and a very convenient location, this was a great option for us. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the Main Street, and did not find it to be overly loud.

Great place to stay when visiting Nauschwanstein Castle. Just renovated. The rooms are quaint. The owner is friendly and helped with dinner recommendations, a discount card for the group, printed something we needed etc. Breakfast was included and it was very reasonably priced.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We got a room in the main building on the 3rd floor. Elevator can only be used until 8 pm when the reception close down. The room was very fresh and newly renovated. Room had a writing desk but no seating places. Hotel is very well locted just outside the old town. Easy parking outside the hotel for 8€ / night. Breakfast was very good and had all the things you could ask for (even pretzels). Management is very nice and helpful.

We had a very pleasant room in this family run small hotel. The owners went out of their way to provide what we needed. Breakfast was very tasty, though not as elaborate as in a larger hotel. It’s very convenient to the train and bus station and the heart of the old town.

The rooms in this hotel are modern, clean and well equipped. The only things missing are air- conditioning and a fridge would have been nice. When we visited it was extremely warm, they did provide one fan which helped a little, but we had to sleep with the windows open and there was quite a bit of street noise.
Breakfast is well organised and the choice available is good. The parking facilities are also very good although they do charge extra for this

This hotel was clean enough for a one night stay. However there was no elevator in the hotel. The front desk person was not the nicest when we checked in. The beds were uncomfortable and the temperature control not so good. It’s close to the little city center and would do in a pinch.

Spotless hotel, my room was large. Breakfast had a very good selection. The staff were excellent and spoke good English, especially the girl on reception. Perfect location for me getting the train to Munich and the shops, restaurants and local sights were all within a short walk. The hotel has a souvenir shop, handy for any last minute presents to take home. Will definitely stay here the next time I’m in Fussen.
