We paid to stay in the newer part of the hotel and the room was good, breakfast was good and plentiful. nothing to fault, as others have mentioned. we were lucky to be there on the weekend of their festival, which was fantastic to watch and be part of.( particularly being so close to the town gate) even without the...

We thoroughly enjoyed Hotel Rappen! The staff was very pleasant and our room for three was in their new section of the hotel. It was clean and bright with plenty of room for the three of us. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The location is feet from one of the gates into the Old Town center. The price was quite...

We stayed at the Hotel Rappen for one night in October 2014. Rothenberg is a beauuuutiful city, so quaint and dreamy. I loved it. The hotel is situated just outside the gates of the walled city and it is also walking distance from the train station (5 minutes). We had arrived early so our room was not ready but the...

It is a hotel for a stop over, so check in, bring your luggage to your room and start exploring the city ! Step out of the hotel, turn lef and you're in the city centre. You 'll feel yourself thrown back in time for several centuries.

Before that, the hotline of Hxxx told us...

We were placed in a building on the back of the main building on which the bedroon was tiny .The toilet space is such a small and the furniture is very, very old. Poor access of parking lot and unpaved surface. Quite dark at night with only one light bulb. The breakfast was an average, but the staff is very...

My husband & I spent 2 nights here. We chose it because of the location, just outside the gate of the city. There is parking next door and an elevator, both of which are appealing. Breakfast is very good and our lunch on the last day was excellent. Since it's less than a block from the gate, the main sights...

Hotel Rappen is in a great location just outside the city gate with a very nice breakfast included. The room was quite small but the bathroom was decent for Europe. The staff was not very friendly, I got the feeling they were annoyed with tourists. The wifi connection was very good. The price was reasonable and I really liked the...

Parking is at the back of the hotel and is free! Situated outside the wall and is about 10 mins walk to the center where museums and attractions are. Room is decent and clean with a small toilet. Good wifi connection. Breakfast was a good spread of bread, fruits, cereal and juices. But the hotel staff were not very friendly....
