Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were met at reception by a gentleman called Omer who told us we had been upgraded to a junior suite. He spoke excellent English and was very polite and friendly. I must say he gave the impression of being very proud of this hotel and I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anybody. It was beautiful and clean. We had breakfast each day in a beautiful breakfast room with lovely boiled eggs and a good selection of hot and cold food. The hotel is a great location being a short walk from the train station and close to the tram. This is a lovely city and worth the visit.

Upon check in we were informed our room was still occupied and would not be available to us (previous guest became ill and didn’t check out). We were informed of our new room would be a standard room, we booked a superior room. I specifically booked the superior room for the space and I said as much. I was given a brush off by being told the new room was lovely and they reduced our room price….. well, the new room category was a downgrade so of course the price was less. I am sure the look on my face said I wasn’t thrilled because next the said they would give us breakfast for free. I understand the guests didn’t leave the room but a room upgrade versus downgrade should have been offered. The room was quite small but decorated well. All the amenities offered were of nice quality. We were on a busy street -with the warmth and noise we didn’t sleep. That isn’t the hotels fault- I’d avoid rooms in the front if that’s a concern for you. The breakfast room was lovely. The buffet offerings excellent.

The hotel is located a7 minute walk straight from the train station. Staff were warm and helpful. They offered us a welcoming glass of wine with a snack. The suite was large and nicely decorated. The room was spotless. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was good. There was a fridge and Nespresso coffeemaker. The breakfast room was BEAUTIFUL and the buffet offering was substantial.

Room Tip: We don’t know about AC. There is a very good Thai restaurant right around the corner.

Good location in town right opposite main tram station. This did mean the hotel had a lot of street noise. No parking and we had to park our minivan 500m away and road outside is pedestrianised but you can pull up to unload. Small dining room for breakfast (extra cost but good value). No evening meal and no bar. No A/C so the room was hot and couldn’t open the window because of the street noise. Lift was broken while we were there and the hotel is on 4 floors!! Rooms good size with en suite. Clean. Helpful English speaking staff.

Lovely little characterful and historic hotel. Super friendly staff, nice rooms, excellent breakfast buffet and a very good value nice local wine available on reception, or if you are lucky on an excellent little balcony seating area (no bar). Car park off site but only a short walk so no hassle. Excellent central location.

The hotel is relatively old which is mirrored in the room they offer. It seems that there're some kind of renovations, but the outside of the hotel doesn't reflect what I expected from the inside. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is located in the middle of the city and close to the main station.

Nice location, close to the Christmas Markets and sights, like The Residence, Rathaus, Bridge and churches. The hotel has a tradition that goes back to 1908; the rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable beds; and very nice staff. Excellent breakfast in a very nice dining room; also nice lobby area where you can sit down and have a drink before or after dinner. Right on the edge of the pedestrian area, but you can pull your car up to unload; then they have a nice parking deal right up the street with several reserved parking spaces, which only cost 12 EU a day with their discount.

This hotel had such old world charm. I love hotels with character and that describes this hotel perfectly. It was perfect for a one night stop on my trip around Germany’s most beautiful cities. Loved it

We loved everything about the Hotel Wurzburger Hof - the location, the room, the magnificent shower, the extremely nice breakfast - but the parking situation is less than ideal. That is the only reason I would not give the hotel five stars. The hotel has an arrangement with a parking garage, so that is a couple of Euros cheaper per day, but it was a very uncomfortable tight fit on every level even for our regular-size rental car. However, if parking is not an issue to you, Hotel Wurzburger Hof is perfect. We would still choose it again because the room was fantastic and the breakfast (with my own pot of coffee :) was delicious. And shout out to the server with the blonde hair and welcoming smile who was in the kitchen every morning ready with that pot of coffee. There were very loud bikers out in the street at night very late, but we closed the window - problem solved.
