My wife and I used this hotel as it was close to where our daughter lives so convenience was the first reason we picked it. We weren't disappointed, it was clean and tidy, receptionist were helpful, breakfast buffet style and very good with lots of choice. Rooms perfectly adequate for our needs, ok bathroom smallish but it was suitable for...

This 3-star hotel/hostel is mediocre in every area: cleanliness, friendliness and comfort. The rooms are carpeted and are wiped with a sponge in between bookings. The bathrooms are way too small and you can barely open the shower door without bumping the toilet. Though the hotel is off of the street and has nice green patches on one side, the...

We enjoyed our time at the Nu Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and approachable. The rooms were a good size and clean. The location was great - under ten minutes walk to the nearest train and right on the doorstep of the RAW Flohmarkt and Urban Spree. Beer garden right around the corner and a 15 minute walk across...

Stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends and we couldn't have asked for more for the price. We had a double and a triple room, which were both a good size. The lady on reception was friendly and breakfast was ideal. Just a short walk to lots of bars, restaurants and the train station. Would definitely recommend...

The rooms are neat and clean and the service and staff are friendly. The location is nice with nice restaurants and a beer garden very close by. The U & S stations are not far. My two main reservations are: 1) the WiFi connection though free and accessible from room but is very very weak & 2) they do not...

The hotel is not far for the U and S station. Unfortunately the hotel's manager (and owner) was totally rude. We had a small problem with the room (the fault was of an hotel collaborator) and this man was so unpleasant that was unbelievable. He shouted with me (!!) and in front of other customers. So, if you can choose...

Very nice hotel in Friedrichshain, with easy access to public transport to visit the city. Close by streets full of bars and restaurants. The hotel is well taken care off, good spacious rooms and nice breakfast. Will definitely go again next time in Berlin.

The hotel is basic and budget....but is best in class for the services it provides. The breakfast maybe basic in some peoples view, however it is a "continental breakfast" it has all that you need both fresh, warm and filling to start your day. The staff were the best with ready available answer to any and all of your questions....

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
