I would recommend the apartment for a family or big group of friends but not the room. It's clean and spacious but a bit creepy, the decor gave off a bad vibe. I had to pay the full amount in cash on the first day and when I decided to checkout I could not get a hold of the manager...

Only 3 metro stations from Alexandersplatz. Clean, silent, comfortable apartment. The room (number 25) is big enough for 3 adults (1 double+2 single beds) . Big Screen LCD TV. Good value for your money. Strongly recommended open air Wall Memorial of Bernauerstrasse is one block of walk as well as metro station. It was a little weird, that you have...

Booked this apartment, had confirmation, all ok, I emailed the apartment advising I will be arriving around 6.30pm as they advise that you notify them, when if got to the apartments, I rang the number on the door, everytime I spoke to someone they hung up on me, got stranded in berlin on my first time here, DO NOT STAY...

Good location, easy to get to. The rooms we stayed were really close the Nordbanhof and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum. Very spacious room, comfortable bed, accommodating owner, everything you need for a good stay in Berlin and close to the transport communication options. It's not a five star and is a really good budget option for staying in Central...

The first thing I want to mention is that the owner of the hotel is very very nice and kind man. The hotel is at very prime location in Berlin. Neat and clean. Have all trams and subway station at 5 mins walks. Being a budget hotel it is nice place to stay.

Just got back from a long weekend trip to Berlin stayed at Pension 58 it's basic but how much time do you want to stay in your room when you have so much to see? The tube is only a few mins walk away and it's only a couple of stops to Alexanderplaz, one of the main tube junction points,...

OK, 20 euro per night. Good location but poor service. I booked a twin room for solo use but the room was given to other guests ! and no apologies from the pention owner. So I was given a small, dirty room. Having said that, it was good to use the kitchen for a cup of tea. I won't choose...

This pension is standard I think-good price, cleane. There is a flat with 3 rooms ( you have your own room ) and shared bathroom. The only advantage is the location! It is near centrum and about 20min from Tacheles on foot. Tacheles is district of squats and full of the arts! I recommend to go there.

This hotel was in a good location and very close to U-Bahn station. The room itself was quite large and the mattress was comfortable. The floors were very dirty though and if you walked from the bathroom to the room (or around the room) your feet were immediately black on the bottom. The room was also quite dusty and shared...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
