Enjoyed a 3 night stay in the easyHotel recently, and was very impressed with the fantastic (and friendly) service from all of the staff.
The room itself was small and basic (as expected, which was fine), very clean, and the bed was comfy - My...More
Minimalist, clean and well staffed. Placed 20 min away from Alexanderplatz, in area filled witch global independent restaurants (cheap!) that bustle with life in the afternoon. Despite this the rooms are quiet, equipped in tv (with Sky Channels), toilets and shower (sadly just separated by...More
However, there's no privacy in the shower/bathroom. So it's a fine hotel if you're travelling with someone you're close with. If you're only looking for a place to crash, this is great. Very close to central Berlin and cheap. Wifi ain't free though!!

Staff have been very helpful and location was excellent - rooms are small but that’s evident when you are booking and all was very clean. Room we had was quite warm due to extended warm weather so needed to leave the window open, and as...More

I stayed here and new to Berlin, the staff helped me with anything and everything. You are close to loads of food places, also supermarkets if you want to find your own drinks etc. They get very expensive to buy in the city. I walked...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

you can catch the u-bahn to Rosenthaler Platz station from Alex. When you come out from the underground head down Rosenthaler Strße - towards Fernsehturm (the TV tower - a brilliant navigational tool when lost in Berlin 😉). Easy hotel is on the left, you can't miss it.
Alternatively you can walk...head towards Hackescher Mkt and you will come across the bottom end of Rosenthaler Straße. Stay to the left when the road splits into two.
Enjoy Berlin...I'm going back later this year for the 6th time in 2 years...love the place!

Ah!! Yes !! We also wondered this, when we went and at asked reception they said it was to do with the sunlight! She said as soon as the sun leaves the building the shutters will open! ... But when it's sunny they will stay shut... Annoying I know as it makes you feel like you are staying in a prison cell!
