We booked this hotel through a travel agent. The location is close to public transport, a short walk to the end of the road to the tram that links Alexanderplatz - buses, U-banh and the S-bahn. Down the other end of the street is a Green Supermarket - a little more expensive, however, around the corner and 15 min walk...

I really enjoyed staying here, I arrived alone and stressed after a long journey with delays- the staff on arrival were very friendly and even upgraded our room to a large apartment. The apartment itself was massive, a really great size with three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms were significantly better than the other one, but as there were only...

This is my second time I stayed at OTA-Berlin and Metzer str 8. Wonderful place and quality service from the people that worked there. It's very central. A short walk from Alexandersplatz, where you can do lot of shopping. I will visit again!!

We booked a three bed apartment, which was large, well-kept if functional and situated in a quiet residential area of Prenzlauer Berg. At the same time it was close to the U/S-Bahn and easily possible to amble into the heart of Berlin. Good value, beds comfortable. Great for small parties/groups of people rather than booking individual hotel rooms. Wi-fi all...

I would not recommend to stay there, the stuff is very rude - almost frightening! The rooms are not clean and at night you will be disturbed by drunken kids. The area is really boring, completely gentrificated!

We booked one of the large apartments which had six single beds. The area is quiet so sleeping no issue and there are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. If you are driving its only 5 euros to park put in the street per day providing your car has a green tax disc for Berlin. Reception can...

The apartment was huge with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. It is just a short walk to the underground and a supermarket. The office staff were extremely helpful in providing travel advice and general information. I had two concerns, firstly the lack of fire regulations and secondly there were no restraints on the windows. Windows opened fully even...

After staying in cramped hostels while inter-railing, it was very comforting to arrive to a clean, modern apartment. We were welcomed by one of the staff members who was very friendly and informative on the city. He allowed us to check in early due to our exhaustion from the night train, which was very nice of him. The only drawback...

After a 13 hours overnight train journey from Munich-Berlin it was nice to be introduced to the flat by a bloke who could easily be compared to James Bond. Location is decent with a metro around a corner. Apartments are super clean and staff at reception are also helpful! The only drawback was our fridge breaking which meant we had...

Great facilities and was perfect for the type of trip we were going for. Only downside is the location is quite far from the city centre but you can still take the metro as its close to the apartment. For 5 boys staying for a few days it's exactly what we wanted.

Thank Harry H

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
