Located on the upmarket Kurfuerstendamm, an exceptionally long dual carriageway shopping street. We were here for four nights to visit the Berlin Xmas Markets and the Hotel is ideally situated for overland/underground trains, trams and buses for the journeys to the markets. The Hotel is slightly dated but has a fascinating history. It was warm and comfortable with very friendly...

The location is fabulous if visiting Berlin, but the hotel, and especially the staff, are absolutely superb. I am totally from a working class background, and go to Berlin as a treat (because both my wife and I love the place), but this hotel doesn't differentiate between people, everyone is equal in the way you are welcomed, looked after and...

We spent a long weekend at the Bristol Kempinski and had a very pleasant stay. We chose a Deluxe room, which is the renovated type, and this was a good choice. The room was quite large, had a good view and a nicely refurbished bathroom. The room was extremely quiet. We enjoyed using the hotel lounge with its fire and...

You know you're in for a not too good experience when you check in and the man behind the counter argues with you about wether breakfast is included (which it was) or not (in his view it wasn't), after circling the written confirmation on the booking voucher which I had previously handed to him, he still insisted that it wasn't....

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of November and was not disappointed. The room was a good size a nicely decorated and the level of cleanliness throughout was high. The only improvement to the room would be the addition of tea and coffee making facilities for convenience - the Starbucks on the corner is nice but adds up...

Centrally situated this hotel is in need of some updating and improvements to be worthy of the five star rating it advertises. Staff were mostly busy and a little off hand. Rooms were small and in need of updating. No tea and coffee making in rooms so had to go down the road to Starbucks for morning coffee. Breakfast and...

Good Location for public transportation and shopping Pleasant restaurants and comfortable bar, Grill restaurant intimate feeling, very good service and good food. Breakfast selection good, but if you go 9:30-10 am very crowded, and don't request anything of server as she/he is busy and not happy to accommodate your request, for example more cream for coffee. Staff, some staff boarding...

This a very old hotel. 20 tears ago this supposed to be a luxe hotel, these days it is old fashioned and poor. It is very hot in the hotel rooms and also very noisy. The canceling policy is terrible and it is obvious the hotel doesn't like complaints. Very bad price/experience.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
