Well, time is running out for this hotel, as the new BBI-Airport will be open soon (~7 months from now, if i remember correctly) and the old Berlin Tegel Airport will probably be closed for passenger traffic by the same date. I guess this means...More

I believe it runs from 4 a.m. until midnight or else 24/7. It doesn't have a schedule. The driver stands by and just takes you when you want to go. The airport is literally a 3-minute drive. I walked from the hotel along a path, just past a gas station and through a tunnel, and arrived at the A terminal in about 12-15 minutes (instead of taking the shuttle--I wanted the exercise before a long flight). To get from the airport to the hotel, find the information desk and they call the hotel; the driver arrives in about 5-7 minutes at the area where the TXL buses go to downtown Berlin.
I actually walked from the hotel to Tegal. It took maybe 7 or 8 minutes while dragging a large suitcase. There is a nice little path that will lead you from Mercure to the departures area in front of Tegal.
