This hotel was wonderful, especially after some poorer experiences in other cities leading up to this trip. I also got to experience two rooms (provided pics of both), as when the internet went down in my initial room, they gave me a larger room with...More
For business visitors its perfect and clean with very good location near the central station. Friendly staff. Small rooms though enough for business visits and short stay. They have good standards and comfortable beds.
A colleague put me on to this chain. Very reasonably priced with lovely breakfasts (lots of organic food but very busy - hard to get a seat). Regretted getting the balcony room - extra money when the weather was so poor and it was a...More
We stayed in this hotel for the weekend. It is very near the central station. We had our room at the floor(11th) with a balcony. This hotel is clean and comfy, though the rooms are not big. There's no coffee/tea and water boiler in the...More
Motel One is very well located: half block from Hauptbahnhof Station. You easily reach it from airport, and visit several point in walk distance, as well, by bus or subway.

You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life
has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.

There is a bus going from outside the Airport hall at street level. You will find signs for "Bus" inside the arrival hall. It has 'TXL' on the destination window, and it goes direct to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). It costs Euro 2.70, and you pay either the driver or in peak periods a seller outside. The hotel Motel One is on the same side of the station, where the bus arrives, you don't have to go through the whole station.
