I arrived late at the bus station near by and decided to stay as it was close an easy. The staff spoke very little English and did not give any sort of tour or building run down. I was not provided any sort of key for the room, the door could not be locked in any way. There was broken,...

Stayed at this location for 1 night as travelling through. Location is close to the s, however as for the hostel itself; not very clean, as well as for the first time I have ever seen; the staff member slept in my dorm? very strange as well as the "daughter" along with others entered our dorm freely at anytime. We...

Me and my friend have been travelling a month staying in hostels all over Europe and this has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in and had the worst sleep I have ever had. The toilets were very dirty and smelt disgusting. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and made us itch! The owners seem to house there...

Stayed here with my girlfriend recently in a double room on a last minute trip to Berlin. Upon entering the hostel we found it hard to distinguish who the staff members were, and when we found one he was unaware of our reservation-we could have been anyone off the street. However, he was polite and friendly. Pleasantries aside, very strange,...

We have booked a private double room, but when we arrived (around 21:30), they told us it is overbooked and we can stay at ladies room (6 beds + 1 extra bed which I had to use). The owner seemed nice, but when she asked me 1 day before per email, if my colleague is a girl or boy, didn´t...

I went to Berlin for the InnoTrans 2012 fair. All the hotels near to MesseBerlin were fully booked. I booked a double room with a price of 40 euros per night. They apparantely realised that they can get more money because of Inno trans Fair so next day they called me to tell that they have made a mistake and...

We have been in Bed Hostel Berlin in Berlin for a week end break; the hostel is a fair choice in the city, very quiet and clean. The shared bathroom as well is cleaned every day from the staff. The only disadvantage is that it is located a bit far away from the city centre ( Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg) so...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
