Spent a week here on business and was surprised by a few things: 1) The bathrooms are ridiculous! The frosted glass partition around the w/c is about 80% transparent, so people in the room can see you sitting on the toilet. The shower enclosure is 100% transparent so don't forget to draw the curtain around you, once you decide which...

Nice hotel at Berlin Central station. Easy to reach. Great view from the rooms, you could even avoid to visit the TV tower as the skyline is the same. Staff was great they changed our room giving a beautiful corner room. Good breakfast, great choice. Everything has been wonderful except they do not have free wifi and they charge you...

My boyfriend surprised me with a three day trip to the Christmas markets in Berlin and this hotel definitely did not disappoint! Situated in the centre, the Christmas markets were right on our doorstep which was perfect when we fancied a drink or some traditional German food. The rooms were clean, spacious and the view from our window was amazing...

Nice and clean room with nice bed. Centrally located on Alexanderplatz with public transport, shopping and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. You have to pay 10euro for 24hours with WiFi on the room.

It is good for overnight but the hotel provides low range of services. For instance, for us was a surprise to have WIFI not for free at the whole territory of the hotel, and the rate was rather expensive. While in each shopping-mall it is for free. The room was OK, and the bed was neat and clean (that is...

We went for the Christmas markets and sightseeing, and by staying in this hotel we were right in the middle of Alexanderplatz. We had easy access to the underground and train stations so could get around the city easily which was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic as well and would definitely recommend booking the bed and breakfast option.

The hotel staff polite and efficiently German!! All staff had good grasp of English even though I still tried my pigeon German on them!! The Room was on the 29th floor! Its a big building and the views were amzing looking down on the square and directly at the massive TV arial. Getting around the city is so easy, the...

Brilliant hotel in a good location of the city. Has great access to the train system and also if you like shopping, like my misses, there were plenty of shops close by. Really recommend this hotel. We stayed on the 13th floor and had a good room with two singles pushed together and a shower. We had a slight problem...

I was disappointed that such an hotel with a big name will neglect the most important thing " hygiene "..there is human hair everywhere , the carpets are deplorable and very tired, food stains all over the floor , the only positive thing about the hotel is the breakfast

Stayed there for two nights, last week. I've been there before but things are slightly changed. Room even though not spacious was adequate but the lay out was the least interesting. That is because of the "open" shower and the sink that is located in the room. Breakfast was really great and when arrived we were lucky that there was almost...

Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are a large hotel with a high occupancy. We also want to offer our guests the best possible service. Unfortunately, we live in uncertain times and our hotel is situated at the busiest place in Berlin. We therefore do everything to provide the highest possible level of security...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
