I spent 5 nights on vacation here in Oct 2017. Was looking for comfort at a reasonable price. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Pillows were extremely flat (not enough filling) but otherwise no room complaints. Room faced the street, and there was some street noise, so...More
I'll start with the positives with this hotel...
Location. Excellent. You really couldn't want for a better location. Situated on a quiet street a stones throw from Oranienburger Strasse Station which gets you to sights such as the Brandenburg Gate & the Berlin Wall Memorial...More

The hotel is clean and pretty, easy to reach, however the beds are quite noisy and they say on their webpage, that they have parking spaces, however you can park only on the street and you need to pay for that.More

thank you very much for your kind review! It's always such a pleasure to see how our guests can appreciate the little things like a cocolate egg on Easter! We are aware about the somehow slow and complicated WiFi-situation. I will pass it...More
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

Dear Ms. Rodgers,
thank you for asking quite some time in advance. This way, we will be prepared. The building of Hotel Augustinenhof was built more than 100 years ago, so its walls are quite thick which helps to keep the warm temperatures outside. Nevertheless, our hotel offers all standards that can be expected of a three star hotel. However, I am afraid there is no air-conditioning on the hotel rooms. Therefore, there are a number of fans available which will be brought up to the rooms upon request. I will inform my colleagues so they can reserve some fans for your room(s). This way, you will not even have to ask. I hope you are going to enjoy your stay in Berlin and the temperatures will be nice and bearable. I am looking forward to seeing you in August. Until then with best wishes
