Clean, easygoing, great location, good prices, perfect of a holiday in. maybe the breakfast was a bit expensive but it's only included if you want. The room was almost complete, it only missed a fridge that can be very useful

Stayed here at the end of November for 3 nights. Hotel staff welcoming. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was nice. Great view out from 9th floor. I wasn't too keen on the smoked glass bathroom door but otherwise a nice clean room. We were offered breakfast on special offer (14€ instead of 17€) which seemed rather pricey....

This hotel is a great base for a long weekend of sightseeing and shopping. Helpful reception staff, clean rooms, comfy beds and a great shower. The hotel is situated with a main road on one side and trams on the other so the noise level might be a problem for some, especially when it's the morning rush hour!.

The hotel is well located, with good connections. It is clean, modern and in reasonable condition. However, the pictures on the net give the impression of a large, spacious room. This it most definitely is not. The room is much smaller in reality and the wardrobe space is a joke, with barely enough room for one person's clothes, let alone...

We stayed here for four nights as we were sightseeing and meeting family. The executive room on ninth floor was as expected but very hot. The air conditioning didn't seem to cool the air but we did open the window and put up with the noise from traffic and trams. Room was clean and modern and the breakfast good with...

This hotel's greatest strength is its location. Located just a block or so off of Alexanderplatz, it is accessible to the U-Bahn, the tram system, numerous buses, etc. There's a ton of shops, groceries, other hotels, etc. all around. It is walking distance to Museum Island sights (perhaps 15 minutes) and Marienkirche (perhaps 10 minutes). The hotel itself feels new-ish...

I enjoyed my stay, the reception was really friendly and helpful as well. In addition the room's bed was amazing. The location is ideal, if you visit Berlin for a conference, the Berliner congress centre is 5-10 minutes away (on foot).

I am usually very easy to please when it comes to hotels and I was always happy at my previous stays in Holiday Inn hotels, so it was very surprising for me to find critic in this one. Let me start by saying I reserved a deluxe room for 1 adult. I received a room with two beds. So instead...

Booked to stay at Holiday Inn for a solo trip to Berlin, was easy to get to once I got my sense of direction. Very close to metro stop, trains and buses, due to a central location hotel is close to shoppingb centre and other department stores and a variety of food and drink places. I found the hotel staff...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
