I was amazed by this hotel since I walked in my room, very clean and everything was good even the smallest detail. The location is excellent for people who wants to visit Berlin for the 1st time because it's in the heart of Berlin directly in the Alexander plaza which are big malls and also a metro station to go...

The hotel was at the city center, close to all touristic attractions. You can reach the hotel from Alexanderplatz Bhf by walking 7-8 minutes. You can use the Google map to find the hotel. We found it very easily that way. We booked for a standard room but they gave us a free upgrade. So, we stayed in an executive...

Try to get a room toward the back, the rooms to the street are very noisy. For breakfast there was no space left, because of tourists from bus tours that all had to be feeded at the same time. Bad luck maybe, but because of the perfect location in the middle of Berlin I think that happens frequently. Very small...

The location was perfect because it was a four minute walk to Alexanderplatz, and within walking distance to the museums. What was most impressive was the cleanliness and friendly staff. We opted not to go for the breakfast because there were so many great coffee/pastry options nearby (including dunkin donuts and Starbucks). The price per room was very reasonable, and...

It was a little hard to find the hotel at first but absolutely no complaint about the room and staff. Check in and out were quick. Very quick response from housekeeping. We decided not to include breakfast because of the price. Lots of places to eat nearby.

Waking distance to nearly everything in Berlin. I really thought great value for money with superb breakfast. We had executive suite which was small but had all we needed. Go see the Ishtar gate one of the highlights. You can eat in hotel the food and wine was so good we decided to stay in on two evenings

Stayed with friends for two nights - nice clean rooms / staff very helpful and great location. Have not tried breakfast as a bit too expensive - loads of bars, cafe's around .... Rooms a bit too small but very clean and comfortable (beds). Recommended :)

You can't beat the location of this hotel. You can walk to all the sites of Berlin if you have the time and inclination. The building itself is rather drab and the room is tiny and sparse. If you want to meet people in the lobby, there isn't really a sitting area. 5 stars on location, but average hotel.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
