We stayed at the Linnen Hotel, in room 3, Prenzlauer Berg for 3 nights. And we have absolutely nothing to complain about! We checked ourselfes in the first night, since we arrived a little late - easy peasy - and we slept really good in the comforting beds. Had a lovely breakfast next morning at the cafe - and great...

My husband and I stayed in the Lego room for 3 nights - the room was super funky, clean, and had everything we needed. There was a bit of noticeable road noise when you are awake but it never disturbed our sleep at all. Location is perfect - lovely safe suburb with lots of lovely eateries and super easy to...

We stayed at Cuba apartment in Prenzlauer Berg. The apartment was beautiful right up our querky streets. The location was fantastic right near the Sunday morning flea market. The food served in the cafe downstairs is to die for. We didn't want to breakfast anywhere else. Antonio and Bodo were so friendly & helpful. I would really recommend the apartment...

The place is beautifully furnished, the food in the café is excellent. Staying at Linnen made our trip to Berlin even more enjoyable. The whole staff was genuinely kind and service minded. We felt welcome immediately. I am sure will recommend this place every time someone mentions they're planning to visit Berlin.

We stayed in Park 1 in Mitte for three nights from 7th to 9th April 2017. The apartment is stylish and well equipped but the most amazing thing is its location right in the centre of the city. One could casually stroll to the cathedral and museums in 10 minutes but I'd also highly recommend checking out the local area...

We stayed in the apartment near Alexanderplatz, 4 of us but was big enough for 6. Only 1 bathroom though! Beds were king size and comfortable. Locate is great as Alexanderplatz around the corned and you can jump on Train, Bus or Tram from there. Enjoyed our stay.

I stayed for a week at Linnen. The service was personable, caring, flexible. I was fortunate to spend some time with the three members of the team that conform the core of Linnen and was wonderfully impressed with their professionalism and care for details. The rooms were exquisite and fun. All different and with great character. The breakfast was healthy,...

Linnen's Park 2 studio in Mitte was a sophisticated, yet warm and welcoming base for me on my recent stay in Berlin. It's location captures the heart of the city, with it's history, very cool wine bars and individual character all a part of the neighbourhood. The Park 2 studio allowed me to feel a part of it. Also, I...

We stayed for a long weekend in Berlin and loved the place. Great, spacious room with a very nice bathroom, a cosy café downstairs with the most delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Antonio is a great host and makes you feel very welcome! Location is great with lots of nice cafés and restaurants, and the tram directly to downtown more...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
