Clean but totally overpriced for what it is. More like a hostel or university dorm based on the room I stayed in -- I wanted a double bed and had specified that on booking but was given a twin room that looked like a camp. While the staff were polite, the one guy I saw most was a bit clueless....

The location is great. A very nice neighbourhood with many facilities, restaurants, etc. Really close to Warschauer Platz Station. We had a room with two single beds. Very comfortable and clean. Also quiet since the window opened on to a courtyard.

Definitely positively surprised by the value for money. I booked a studio appartement with double bed. Very good standing, very clean, irreproachable service. Exactly what I was looking for. I felt at home.

The hotel is in good location if you want to visit the district of Kreuzberg with all its hipster cafes, boutiques and plenty of places with tasty food. It's located on rather quiet street but if you want to be sure you won't hear any noise, ask for the room facing the backyard. The rooms are not so spacious but...

Staff are disgustingly rude! The hotel is old and run down and it sounds like you are staying on a building site when you look out the window it looks like one too! There is no access to still drinking water in the night time! Don't be fooled by the ' do not disturb' sign , they will still disturb!...

Could do better I'm afraid.... Whilst that staff were very helpful and breakfast was huge, the choice was just traditional German no pastries & you had to ask for a refil of orange juice. The room was spacious, but the heating didn't work, the shower was broken & I had to fashion one out of a coat hanger to hang...

The room we stayed was very wide, clean and comfortable. There are a lot of restaurants around and a U-bahn station 5 minutes away that take us to the Alexanderplatz, on downtown. They have a limited parking spots, so, even if we asking for one when you book the hotel, it's hard to get (but they rent parking permits to...

These apartments are small and simple but everything you need for a short trip. Could do with some additional basics such as a toaster. One strong negative though is the fact we were woken up really early by workers out on the courtyard. Constant banging from the early hours which isn't ideal.. The apartment is really dark though so there's...

This appartment may be simple but you have everything you need. It's clean, the beds are good and it's set on a prime location within 5 minutes walking distance of the restaurant and cafe area of Friedrichshain.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
