Neighbourhood
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Big rooms. Very close to transport and in a quietish area. Only complaint was AC in room is a bit old fashioned and didn't seem to work properly. Meant room was stuffy, even in March! Located close to the park and zoo.

Check-in was not satisfied. The staff couldn't find my reservation though I informed my surname and number of nights that I booked. He also forgot to give me drink voucher for Accor silver card holder.

A good hotel, the S Bahn across the road, one stop to the Kdamm in one direction and direct to the airport in the other. Friendly staff, good service, comfortable rooms with good beds. Everything I expect from a Novotel.

We took the train straight to the Tiergarten stop. The hotel is just across the road from the train stop. It was a long train ride to and from airport but easy to travel the city.
