Having read contributor reviews, we asked for a quiet room on a lower floor (with en suite bathroom), and were very happy with what we got. Obviously at this price, it's not going to be the Ritz, but we (two women in our 60's) wanted a clean room, new-ish bedclothes and towels, decent mattresses, and a good breakfast. We got...

Hotel Adam is located a 3-minute walk to the S-Bahn Charlottenburg and about 10 minutes to the U-Bahn Wilmersdorfer Straße. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel. It is also a direct RB14 Airport Express train ride from Berlin Schönefeld Airport, where I arrived from, to the S- Bahn Charlottenburg. I stayed 2 nights here...

The good thing was great location and that room was clean. Most disturbing was the horrible music/noise/screaming/clapping from the bar next door every single evening which stopped 6am on a weekend and 3am on a week. Room smelled smokey and pillow was poor - it was just like some blanket. At breakfast the smoke came inside as the door was...

When we arrived I didnt no if I should laugh or cry. The smell in the stairs was terrible. It smelled like urin. Our room was facing out to the street were drunks and hookers were screaming all night. It was really warm in Berlin and there was no AC in the room. One taxidriver explained to us when he...

Very good location, 15 minutes bus ride away from Tegel Airport, and right across the S-bahn station. Very well connected. The hotel room was clean, towels were changed every day. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was lacking on the sweet side. There are four floors but no lift. The atmosphere was a bit too spartan for my taste but if you're...

Me and my brother stayed here for 4 nights, the first night we were in a different room, we swapped on the second day cos there was no hot water in the first room. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were clean. There was no air con or fan and it was summer so very hot. Getting into the shower...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, the area is nice surrounded by any other hotels, cafes and restaurants, it is also very close to train station and bus stops. The bedding was good and the room clean. I did not have any issues with the water and the staff at the reception were helpful. The excellent thing about...

The hotel is quite cheap. The location (a few steps from S-Bahn stop Charlottenburg) is very good. Also the furniture of the room was a little bit poor and worn. Breakfast is inclusive the price, which is all-you-can-eat, and pretty good as well but not too various. Hotel staff nice.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
