The service was nice and the breakfast was a great selection. The room was kinda small and they wouldn't give us a double bed, so we had to push the twin beds together instead. There's no English TV channels other than news, so if you want to spend any time in the hotel you have to pay for the TV...

Found this hotel on special offer so snapped up a 2-night deal. We arrived early in Berlin so went to the hotel to leave our bags. Staff were super friendly and helped up immediately. We were able to walk (within max 30 mins) to all the main Berlin attractions from the hotel (Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, East Gallery, Museums, Checkpoint Charlie,...

I stayed with my husband and another couple for a short trip early in the new year. The hotel was clean and well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant but we had a night cap in the bar both nights and the drinks were reasonably priced. The hotel was walking distance (2...

Stayed one night at this hotel in between flights. The staff was very friendly and sincerely helpful. Rooms were large for a European hotel and the price was outstanding. The value of the Euro was helpful as well! If visiting Berlin, this hotel is excellent for the price, location and comfort.

My comments mostly echo those below. Whilst these points shouldn't be underestimated, the welcome was professional and friendly, hotel was quiet, no banging doors and couldn't hear the neighbours, beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, plenty of storage and hanging space, wifi worked well, breakfast was busy but service good and great selection. Also good to have a quiet fridge...

Booked our short break here based on central location (walking distance of most of the major sights and attractions) and because they offered a suite so our teenagers could have their own room but still connected to ours. It was an easy 20 minute taxi ride from the airport and check-in was quick and easy with the receptionist speaking excellent...

Booked the hotel, having seen it in a travel brochure and managed to get a better deal through Expedia. about a 40 min taxi from the Airport and close to the U Bahn which makes travelling around easy, don't be afraid to use it. A 10 min walk from checkpoint charlie and about 20 mins to Potsdamm and the Berlin...

As it goes with the Courtyard Marriott, quite basic. No free parking, actually had a 20 euro fee for a 24 hour parking at the hotel basement. Plenty of parking out on the street, however very difficult to get one at the end of the day. Close to metro and walking distance to major tourist attractions (if you consider 15...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
