Room was wonderfully large, with high ceiling and a balcony overlooking the Erwin Barth Platz park. The house must be c.100 years old but everything works! The décor is in keeping but attractive with lovely large mirrors, a good ensuite and a very comfortable bed. Dieter, the owner, is very helpful and affable. One piece of advice is to book...

We were in a spacious corner room with plenty of light and comfort. The wifi was very strong and reliable . It is situated in a quiet street with litle noise . There are restuarants , cafes laundry and a bar close by. All these things make the Pension am Park a real find for us . Dieter and his...

We had. great stay at the Am Park. Breakfast was great, bed comfy, Dieter , the host was good fun and happy to help . There was a lift in the building which is always good and really good Italian restaurant just down the road. Wee bar just around the corner. Close to underground and S Bahn. What more can...

This is a good place to stay in Berlin. We have relatives living in the neigborhood within walking distance. The house and the room have the "jugend" style. The bathroom is very fine. Beds are good enough and everything was kept well cleaned. The breakfast was very much in our taste. Our room was located to the garden and silent...

The location is beautiful, but quite off from the major interesting places. Dieter is v e r y friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and several things to choose from. Rooms have a very personal style but at places in somewhat ruff condition. Allergy notice: rooms have a carpet and when we stayed, the hallway and breakfast room was filled...

Met a German friend in Berlin and stayed here, good value. Breakfast excellent, good location close to the tube. Could not get wireless internet as the lady looking after the property didn't know the log-in. Would stay again.

We visited Berlin for the first time and though the weather was not so great, it was such a delight to stay in such a perfectly located bed and breakfast. Everything about the Pension Am Park was just perfect for what I needed - the location, the cleanliness, the people and the fact that it is small with a very...

Hello Mr. ??? I am a little surprised as I cannot find a reservation from Turkey during ITB 2011. I can also not remember a problem with a toilet at all and especially not a problem, which could not be solved and fixed? If this was so I am very sorry for the inconveniences and I apologize. Maybe you could...

We loved everything about Hotel Pension Am Park. We travelled with 2 children and got a spacious 4 bed room with balcony. Everybody was very patient with our loud children and they got spoiled with loads of Nutella! We had free wireless internet. There´s a play park for the kids right across the road and of course the bigger park...

Overall mostly good, breakfast was excellent. Lots of vases of lilies with overpowering scent in one room was a bit too much though. Towels were very old and worn and were unpleasant to use. Having our room quickly cleaned whilst we were having breakfast was a bit disconcerting. Internet access was useful, we got the car parked right outside, so...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
