Toilet seat broken, no wifi, tv broken, stains on ceiling and in shower, no plug in sink, 12" step into shower, no lift 3 flights of stairs and no english spoken by receptionists. Manager's attitude "what do you expect for your money, we are in germany and don't hae to supply a plug. Take it or move, let me know...

Stayed as solo business traveller and chose mostly it due to its location! That is the best thing I can say for this apartment property! The hotel is part of a residence building which, although it's a bit old, it has its own charm. You have to climb the stairs for 2 floors as there is no elevator and that...

I am tired of staying at clinical hotels with welldressed staff trained to smile and how to please, - this hotel is something completely different. I loved the atmosphere, the character, the stairs and the high ceilings and the ability to open a window instead of living in a box with crappy ventilation systems. I loved the opportunity to enter...

Staff friendly and helpful. My room very small and poky, but bed OK. The free Wi FI did not work in the rooms (but we were told it would not). We were allowed to use the breakfast room (the is no lobby)The is no elevator My room was three floors up, but that could have been worse as there is...

This hotel provided the minimum in that it had a clean bed and location but did not go above that. The initial appeal of the building is a bit shocking as the carpet is dirty and there is a broken window on the staircase up to the hotel. However the hotel "lobby" and room were clean. The Internet was abysmal...

Arrived after a late flight to be told that there was a penalty for this and was asked to pay an additional 25 euros before we could have our room. When we got there, we were astounded by the shower! It was actually in the bedroom! What was that about? Not happy. Especially as it was very hit and miss...

We had a room with an ensuite. However the walls are definitely thin, no lift, nonexistent wifi and no extra anything. The plus is that it was conveniently located by the metro and a lot of restaurants, pubs, and shopping within a very short walk.

At the end of the day, Eden am Zoo is a satisfactory hotel, but not without a few certain perks and surprises. Located in the heart of Berlin, first impressions are, unfortunately, not great. The building is somewhat insecure, with a button-activated door providing little security, a feature which, for us, was a little unnerving. When progressing up the staircase,...

We traveled here with our three children and found it to be a comfortable hotel with a nice breakfast. The hotel room was a bit tight with 5, but for the money we thought it was an excellent value. I speak German so the language was not an issue for us, but note that some of the staff speak little...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
