The hotel is on one floor which is accessed via a hallway and up some stairs. It was quirky and we really liked the unusualness of it. If you like 5 star Hilton standard hotels this wouldn't be for you. It was a really good price and perfectly located in a very nice area with bars and restaurants in easy... More

I spent there two nights and despite the fact that the place can be "romantic" in a certain way the two ladies who work there are not nice, they smile only when you are leaving. The bathroom was not cleaned after the first day and the breakfast is a room too small for all the guests (if you don't come first... More

Stayed there for 4 days, the room was a good size. The furniture needs updating and the shower needed to be held in room 1 as the hook was not in the correct place I am used to. The breakfast had a good selection. The hotel was clean and well looked after.

I made an initial query about booking via e-mail. They got back to me promptly and gave me an offer. I showed my interest in this offer but they said they would like to test if my credit card would be authentic. Then I politely asked if they would like to charge me full by card or by bank transfer... More

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay in the hotel, with a four poster bed, antique furniture, good breakfast and quiet rooms we couldn't ask for more. The hotel is close to the train station and good shopping and excellent restaurants.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Small family hotel (8 rooms), well located (100 meters from the bus stop to the airport), 2 tubes stations (10 minutes to Brandeburg Arch), 1 minute from the main shopping street, surrounded by a few nice restaurants and pubs... Room was really spacious though the bathroom a bit small. Clean and calm. Breakfast... More

This is definitely a pension. So it has just a few rooms. Mine was quite big and quite clean. Towels were changed every day and breakfast was good, even if not too varied. The bad thing was the bed. I found it quite uncomfortable.

We recently spent a weekend in Berlin, and we had booked into the Alte Galerie. On arrival our bags were carried upstairs by the propeitor and we were shown to our rooms, which were stunning! Our rooms were light , airy and incredibly clean, and were really well equipped. The breakfast was also amazing the next morning. What makes this... More

The hotel is on a floor of a building block. That was a shock to start with but then I wqas positively surpirsed with the rooms and the location. Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
