This hotel has a perfect location. It is very close to one main shopping area with many shops and reastaurants. There are (U-bahn) underground connections too and the train station Zoologischer Garten is not that far from there. The staff were very nice and helpful. They were flexible. I had an early flight and they prepared takeaway breakfast for me....

We asked for a proper double bed by email a week before as I had read trip advisor and had seen that they usually use two beds pushed together which I really dont like. I was very pleased when they put us on the fourth floor with a proper bed. The rooms are very small and it is a weird...

Interesting hotel. The rooms are a bit old school hostel jazzed up with a bit of ikea. Sounds a bit dodgy but its not. Its a comfortable well run hotel. Service is excellent, the breakfasts are fantastic, and the location is excellent.

The hotel has a 4 star rating, but I think this does not apply to the standard rooms on the first floor. Firstly and important the room was clean and smelt fresh. The room had a small fridge and a hair dryer. Air conditioned. The flat screen TV was very small. The laminated floor had no carpets. Small but effective...

Thansk so much for that statement. To have more space we recommend to book our superior- or deluxerooms. Our TV's will be changed this year in all rooms. Thanks for the compliments for breakfast and staff. Hope to see you soon again at the Ellington! Kind regards T.Brack and Team

If you like shopping, the Ellington is the perfect hotel for you. It's right around the corner from the KaDeWe, as well as a myriad of shops. It is also not far from the U-Bahn stop at Wittenbergplatz, so you can be anywhere in Berlin in no time. In addition to its convenient location, the building that houses the Ellington...

This hotel is all about the "bling-bling" in my eyes. Once you walk in, even the people around you look good. I stayed during the New Year's Eve & after & it was the perfect choice. I was able to park my BMW in the back side of the hotel. Didn't want to worry about any fireworks. This hotel is...

We enjoyed our stay here. The bar was nice - enjoyed having a drink in the bar/lounge area. Room was comfortable and clean, and staff were friendly. It's in a shopping area with plenty of public transportation nearby and easy to get around from. Highly recommend.

We staid in two rooms next to each other for 3 nights. The rooms are tiny and of different sizes (marginally different) and not connected. The beds are OK, but not the best hotel beds I staid in. The service and people are good... I don't think I would return, I would rather pay a bit more for a better...

A very modern hotel and absolutely huge. Not a great deal of Christmas atmosphere, if it hadn't been for the tree in the bar it would have been hard to realise it was Christmas. Very hard working bar staff who were very attentive and polite as were the reception staff. Breakfast was a bit pricey at 20euros but there were...

Thanks for your statement! We are happy that you liked our house generally, that you liked as well our bar-team and reception. Its a good note, that the christmas feeling was not enough - yes, we have a minimalistic style, but at christmas we would love to have a warm atmosphere and christmas mood. So we can try to make...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
