Good location near the U-Bahn and Schoneberg neighborhood. It is on two floors of an 1800’s building. You get to ride the original 1912 wooden elevator on the way up. The 10 rooms have tall ceilings, and ours had a mini-bar, sink, TV, DVD and balcony to an interior courtyard. There was a room safe, but it was not attached...

We had five nights at the Stars Guesthouse over Easter and had lovely time. The room was large, comfortable, clean and airy. Somewhere where you can sit and relax. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being overbaring, and you will want to take the little dog home with you! The breakfast was adequate and plentiful, but we never worked...

Everytime i go to Berlin, i check in the Stars-Guesthouse. The rooms are very big and very nice decorated. (Wish we had rooms like that in Amsterdam!). The neighbourhood is quit, but you can walk right to the shoppingstreets or bars (I like to go out, so its great that i don't need a taxi when i'm going to sleep)....

The Hotel was really pefect! I had nothing to complain about. The rooms are very clean, the interior was very stylish, beds comfortable. You can have a late breakfast which was also very good. Friendly hosts, nice area. I will definitely come back.

We checked in and were shown our large room...clean and organized as we'd expected. However, that was the end of our enjoyment. We took showers and used the ONE towel each they supplied... thin, small and very coarse in texture. We went out that night and were out late (hey, it's Berlin). The next morning we got up to a...

I can't recommend this guest house highly enough. Being a solo woman traveller I tend to be choosy about where I stay. I look for accommodation that is close to transport, is reasonably priced and must be clean and quiet. Stars Guest House came up trumps. I stayed in the Tango Room which is comparable to 5 star hotel accommodation...

This is an excellent place to stay. This was my second time and I will be back. Marco and Olaf are friendly and helpful, speak excellent English, and really made us feel welcome. Traveled with friends so I’ve seen 4 of the rooms. We all agreed the beds are very comfortable with nice big pillows and the rooms are nicely...

I was so pleased with this hotel. The rooms looked so fab on the internet & i know how misleading this can be!! We arrived & were shown to the 'Tango' room- Exactly the room I wanted (but hadn't requested) on the web! It was as good as I hoped- large room, nice architectural detailing, lovely bathroom & a fab...

We stayed for 3 nights in February and had a fantastic time. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Bosa Nova room and had no worries about sharing a bathroom. There was never a queue. The place was spotless. Breakfast was staple European breakfast. I would certainly stay there again and given the price it was a...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
