My experience with Tom's wasn't great, I basically had to change apartments twice. I'd booked a double bed apartment and when I checked I was given the keys, I arrived at the apartment to find it was a twin. So I had to drag my large suitcase back to the hotel office and get it changed, the staff member Tim...

Rooms are a little run down with oldfashioned interior. But for the price and location it is ok. The guy at the reseption was welcomming. I felt more like living in a flat than a hotel because the rooms are spread around in buildings where people live. It was quiet and i got a small terrace on my own

Husband and I stayed in Berlin for 5 days in April. We loved our stay at Tom's. It's perfectly located in the gayborhood, walking distance to many great restaurants, bars and shopping! Check in and out was super easy. Room was cute and super clean. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfortable, clean room, great bed with nice linens. Room had a very modern updated bathroom with nice towels. The only negative I can give, is the front entrance. That was very dated and warn and frankly a little scary. The room though, more than made up for this. About the location, nothing to complain about. Walking distance to everything.

The location can't be bettered for the great gay scene in Schoneberg and is also handy as a base to explore the whole city. The apartment was spacious, clean and had lots of extras, like fesh towels, tea, coffee and everything needed, including excellent free...

My partner David booked the apartment on the basis that we would be out all day looking at buildings and museums and would appreciate being near the gay scene in the evening. He was totally right. The apartment was spotless, right beside a bunch of gay bars and gay-friendly restaurants and close to public transport. Our apartment had one double...

I stayed in 118 it was a quiet room, small but big enough for 1 person. Clean and the wifi worked excellently. It's close to nollendorfplatz and many gay attractions which was great. Easy to get to various parts of the city from this location. I would happily stay again and probably will.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
