Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotels in Hambourg are very expensive! I consider myself to be lucky to find this gem. Excellent value for money! Neat and clean and comfortable. Great location not far from the center near to the bus stop that connects to the main railway station. A lot of food shops and food options around. Quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room, all refurbished. I really recommend this hotel! Thanks a lot, Elbbrucken hotel, we had good time!

Our four night stay there was among the best human experiences we had in hotels, the landlady was very helpful and gave us a lot of practical information and advice about what to do. The night watchmen were not always very fluent in English but they tried and were quite helpful too. Breakfast was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and quiet . Some people might complain that the general aspect of the hotel takes us back a few years, but who cares ? Everything was perfectly clean and in good condition. When we pass through Hamburg next time, we will stop there for sure !

The hotel is very basic, clean rooms, quite small though, nice and variated breakfast. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not quite near the city center but you can get there easily taking bus number 3, whose Haltestelle is just one block away from the hotel, or different services to the Hauptbahnhof. Try walking through the park next to the river, which is just one block away from the hotel.

The hotel is dated, in need of some restoration and updates. The room I had was small and the bathroom was very small. But, it was clean and the bed was better than some I have stayed in. The did give you 500 mg of download for free and 5 euro for unlimited per 24 hr. Breakfast was 10 euro and standard breakfast in a German hotel. Meat, cheese, bread, eggs, cereal, a bit of fruit, some other odds and ends. Not bad. If you need a room for the night and don't need whistles and bells this is a good option. Don't expect an American style hotel. The rate was 70 euro and probably worth it. I would stay here again on my own. If my wife were with me I would want a more upscale hotel. But for me it was a room, bed, and shower. It was not a destination hotel.

Needed pied-à-terre whilst in Hamburg without paying too much - comfortable and easily accessible to city centre. The Elbbrücken Hotel fitted the bill perfectly and the generous breakfast enable me to skip lunches! Had to rely on public (paid) internet because I didn't bring my travel wi-fi with cable, though.

I sleep 2 nights in this Hotel, with smal, clean room, nice and friendly staff. The breakfast is very good for this price - so with one word, i suggest this Hotel. You come to the city by bus M3 in a 20min ride. About 100m byside the hotel you will find the the Restaurant " Alt Deutsche Kueche" there you can get good food for an fair prize .

I stayed Elbbrucken hotel 3days due to business trip in Hamburg district warehouse. The room is very small because it was single bed room but I felt comfortable. The window of room is large enough to look over outside and breakfast is very good. Because of jet lag, I walk around the hotel very early in the morining, the street is very good near the local area to see the local pepole's life. The bus stop to city centere to Hamburg is walk in 1min from the hotel.

This hotel has very friendly staff and a nice breakfast, but it is not very close to the city center of Hamburg. Public transportation is close by so the city center is only 15 minutes away. Parking is limited and the room are clean plus free WiFi

Stayed at the Elbbrucken hotel recently whilst on a short weekend trip to Hamburg. Situated in the Rothenburgsort area of town, the hotel is basically in the centre of a quiet residential area, with 2-3 hotels also nearby. From the Centre/Hauptbahnhof/Coach Station, its a mere 11 minutes by bus to the stop Billhorner Mühlenweg; the hotel is left then a couple of hundred metres on the right. I booked a single room with breakfast, and on making the reservation in the additonal comments box I requested a check out a little later than usual - 30 minutes to be precise. When the guy at reception eventually found my booking, I reminded him of this and he said It wouldnt be a problem however I should mention it to the woman on reception in the morning; Why? Id already mentioned it in the booking, and once at check-in. wouldnt it have been more professional for the guy just to leave his colleague in the morning a notice? Obviously communication is a problem here. As it was, I mentioned it again in the morning just before breakfast, and the receptionist's face was like thunder and nearly cracked with the inconvenience of it all like I was putting everybody out. Not good. Breakfast is adequate, however not a great selection. Large crispy bread rolls, a meagre selection of packet meat and cheeses, yoghurt, juice, and scrambled egg. All in all, a quiet and comfortable stay - however the communication could have been a little better.

Good price quality. This hotel may be not one of the most beautiful that hamburg offers but the whole hotel is very clean and well kept. No broken tiles and the rooms are very clean also in the places where you would expect some dirt such as the bathroom corners. The employees are very helpfull and nice. I would come back to this hotel if i am in hamburg again.
