Authentic & Romantic, the Eilenau Hotel is maybe one of the very few in Hamburg, where one can very easily imagine what life must have been a century ago in Hamburg. The large suites rooms are nicely decorated and all different, some with a small balcony. The Alster is just down the alley road.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 rooms to visit downtown Hamburg. Rooms are all completely custom and were very comfortable. Breakfast was good but wish we had choice of a hot option since it's kind of expensive. Office is open until 11PM and they have copies of Subway maps, etc. for you. They have a cool old refrigerator in...

I spent one night at the hotel while visiting Hamburg on a weekend. The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation and is located on a shore of a small river. The room downstairs (I think the only one, number 2) has its own access to the hotel garden on the back of the building, which is a great option...

If you like family run hotels rather than the big chains, you are just right here. Based in 2 houses along the Eilenau river, a little bit East from the city center (taxi to the main station is less than 10 minutes), this hotel offers a very friendly and personal service. Welcome was extremely smooth, quick and efficient. Careful: Payment...

We only had a sort stay at this hotel. The location is good, walking distance to a large number of restaurants. I liked the style and decor of this small boutique hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly and our room had a good size as well as a lounge area. They don't have a minibar in the room but...

My husband and I had booked a standard room with a double bed. When we arrived we were showed to a very big suite with big bathroom, big living room and stunning bedroom. Bottled water, chocolates and Fruit were waiting for us as was a nespresso with plenty of caps. My husband turned totally white in the face when he...

I am totally overwhelmed by this hospitality. The...

Enjoyed this lovely home, with is actually two townhouses put together. Beautiful interior and breakfast room, friendly staff, very nice breakfast. Walking distance to a restaurant or two. (Instead of walking all the way around by the street lights, I walked in the dark down a narrow sidewalk amongst apartment buildings/yards, to a friendly, popular Italian restaurant.) My local customers...

I was given room 12, a suite of massive proportions, despite booking only a standard room online. That was definitely worth the almost 200€ I paid (included breakfast) I was just there for Hanseboat but if you're staying the weekend access to the nice garden from that room is worth something. Breakfast was very good with lots of 'hausgemachter' things....

We spent three nights at this spacious, welcoming and very comfortable hotel. It's not central but is only a few minutes walk to the U-bahn. Our room was big, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. It was very quiet too as we overlooked the rear garden. The staff were always friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast in the beautiful room set aside...
