It is a couple blocks, maybe 5 minutes walk from hauptbahnhof-train station. Also about the same from the Füssganger or shipping area. There are multiple places to eat nearby. The river fulda is close. As well as many museums and public transportation like streetcars and buses can be found running through the shopping area. The staff were friendly and the...

We used this hotel as a stop-over on our way to another town. It is a modern hotel with very nice, welcoming staff. It is efficient and professional as you would expect from Germany. The room had a double bed - two large singles linked together with separate duvets- as appears to be the way now with hotel beds. Good,...

Stayed here for a few days for a business trip. The room was small with a tiny bed, fridge and rather outdated bathroom. If you were a light sleeper the lack of good sound proofing to other rooms might be a problem. However, all was very clean. The breakfast choice was very good with extensive choice for vegans including soya milk,...

Hotel situated near the city center. Free parking space behind the hotel a bit hidden/hard to find but spacious. Very friendly staff. Simple but clean rooms. A very rich German breakfast, recommandable! If you want a quiet room beware to book at the bach of the hotel. In front of the hotel is a busy road. If you go to...

Very central location. Few minutes walk to main station and town Centre. The room was small and dull. Though the bath room has been renovated. There were still some noise coming from the tram even with double glazing window. Because I need noise free to be asleep. Occasionally i could hear noise in corridor. But not too annoying. The breakfast...

We stayed in the Deutscher Hof. The staff is friendly and the price is very good for the location. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but clean. The beds are very comfy, you can sleep very well. Breakfast room is a bit small but you get a good continental breakfast. For short stays very recommended.

A centrally located hotel (walking distance to the city centre/some dOCUMENTA locations; for the Karlsaue park, you might want to try the "Konrad" bikes) that looks a bit dated - especially the bathroom: green sink, shower stall, ... with orange curtains, the long hallways somehow reminded us of a prison, yet perfect service from the very friendly and welcoming staff....

Deutscher Hof has a very central location, close to the railway station and all the venues of Documenta 13. It is cheaper than other options in central Kassel as far as I could find out. The staff is friendly, also with each other, so there is a bright atmosphere, free wi-fi and a hearty breakfast. Stress free zone, decorated in...

Ideally located budget hotel. Generous sized clean rooms and hearty buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Would be nice if the restaurant opened in the evening to save hassle of looking for somewhere to eat after hectic day.

Nice little hotel near the city train station, in what might seem a somewhat shady neighbourhood after dark. Close to the city center, as well as the tram stops. Nothing fancy, but staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and light, although lacking in efficient ventilation. Generous breakfast buffet with equally generous opening hours. Minibar/fridge with affordable prices, as...
