Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is desperately in need of renovation. Our room, 603, was very cold, the radiator was hot at the top but cold at the bottom, the host was very rude and aggressive to us when we asked for a heater, he shouted at my wife in German and when she said she didn't understand he said "well learn German!" I have travelled all over Germany working and on holiday I have never been treated so badly, Germans are usually very eager to please. Food was poor, cheap and tasteless.

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. Its position in the town is great, the food is very nice served by friendly staff, the room was of a good standard. Rudesheim is a lovely place to explore. If visiting the lovely town the Felsenkeller is a very good choice.

We stayed here one night, at the end of a trip in Europe. Not much cash left but had credit and debit cards. There is a sticker on the entrance displaying Mastercard and Visa so that was ok. However when we had dinner, we ordered loads of drinks and wanted to pay by card. The response we got was angry and hostile. It was aggressive. We were shouted at to go to the cash machine and come back. There were no signs to say that cards were not acceptable so we thought it would be ok. We spent £40 on drinks. The rooms are average, beds a bit creaky and thin pillows. We were told not to open the windows with lights on or the room would quickly fill with flies. So it was either stumbling in the dark or boiling in 32 degrees heat. The room key fob is the size of a banana. Not easy unless you want to take a bag out with you.

We only stayed for one night and enjoyed our stay. It is an older style hotel and yet very client with friendly service. There’s quite a few stairs before reaching the elevators to be mindful of if you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs. Breakfast is great. The hotel is in a pedestrian area so if you arrive by car you might need to be a bit patient to drop off your luggage before parking about two blocks away. Location of the hotel is just perfect for exploring the town centre

We stayed here as a couple at the end of October. The manager Michael and his wife are a really lovely couple. The room was ok but not much of a view and the bed a bit low but we survived. In the morning we found that the shower head had obviously seen better days and we asked for a new one which we got straight away. The food was really good with a nice choice for breakfast and dinner. One thing not too keen on was the fact that you could not use a debit card to pay for drinks which was a bit of a nuisance as we did not bring a lot of euros with us and were told there was a cash machine down the road. However using a cash machine does of course incur a charge. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back again.

Was here for 3 nights whilst on a coach trip with my mum, room was MASSIVE, think we had a family room as had two single beds and a couch/bed - i actually slept on the couch/bed as found it comfier than the bed, think the biggest room we've had on European trips Staff was friendly and enjoyed a laugh, we had food included each night and i have a egg allergy and they amended my food each night from the set menu - only had to tell them the first night then each night they remembered, top marks! hotel was so warm, we were hot in there and good thick blankets, could open windows wide if needed which we did location is perfect right in the town by the main strip, even with this though we hardly heard any noise (was expecting it to be noisy) breakfast was a massive buffet, so many options both hot and cold, healthy and non healthy and even notice they had separate gluten free foods for people can tell the staff care about you and when we asked for extra pillows (as you only get one each) we got them like 20 minutes later nothing at all went wrong and was a brilliant stay, would defiantly come back here again!

We stayed for 3 nights half board at Hotel Rüdesheim for the Rüdesheim Wine Festival . Great location, within walking distance of all the local attractions, yards from the Drosselgasse and backs onto the vineyards. Lovely breakfast not loads of choices but certainly adequate, three course evening meals with yummy soups and fresh crusty rolls. The rooms are basic no toiletries provided but you can purchase items from Reception . They do have a small lift which you can only get to by steps up to it , not a problem for us but might be something to bear in mind. The bar is small, located in Reception which is cosy and warm, the outside seating on the Sun Terrace is charming , they provide blankets for colder days where you can sit and watch the world go by. Staff are very friendly and efficient and always greet you with a smile .

Right in the heart of town, with parking close by, fine rooms, and an outstanding breakfast, we really loved this hotel. And the manager was so helpful in providing guidance on how we should do a Rhine river cruise (take boat all the way to Koblenz, explor Koblenz, and visit castles by car on a separate day).

Only stayed here for one night as part of a tour. Room was quite drab and in need to a refurb. In particular the bed was very low and had a wooden rail round the outside which made sitting on it or getting in and out very uncomfortable. For those with any mobility problems it may not be a wise choice as the hotel is on a steep lane in the pedestrian area. In addition, you have to navigate a flight of steps to get to the lift, really awkward if you have luggage. The staff will just stand and watch you. Food was ok, nothing remarkable, reasonable breakfast buffet.
