Cherry Tree Cottage is a friendly, quiet site for couples and families, ideally located near the historic city of York. We are on the outskirts of the lovely villages of Nether and Upper Poppleton, yet within walking distance of great restaurants and local pubs. The site is close to excellent public transport links to York and Harrogate. There is a dedicated off road cycle route into York city centre and beyond running past the site. We are open 365 days a year and cater for caravans and motorhomes only. Please note we do not have shower and toilet facilities so are unable to take tents. Well behaved dogs and children are permitted.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautifuly kept well organised campsite . Lovely welcoming owners. We had a great three weeks with our dogs. We were advised of a fantastic place where our dogs could run free. We were close to all amenities. Would highly recommend this site.

Absolutely love this site. We have been visiting here for over 2 years. Well maintained, lovely hosts, great pitch sizes. Located on a bus route into York. Local pubs and shop only a short walk away. Just perfect for a peaceful visit, close to city centre.

Really pristine site in a great location for bus or bicycle travel into York. Very friendly owners. No bathroom facilities but everything else you need, small and keeps that CL spirit although it's slightly bigger now. The owner also makes and sells delicious cakes!

Me and my family visited this site in February for the weekend, very nice clean site & very convenient for the busses, the owners are also very nice and even let us leave our caravan for a few days because of the heavy winds, which was very kind of them, thank you very much and we will be booking again in the near future

We have been coming to this site for six years and it is fantastic. Martin and Karen are the best of hosts and everything is kept clean and well and catered for. The bus stop to York is about 100 yards from the site and it is cheaper to get a return ticket than driving and paying parking fees (£9.00 return for two of us). They also have an information shed in where, when in season, they supply their own eggs from their ducks and rare breed chickens. I would recommend this site to anyone. You're not herded in like cattle and give you plenty of your own space. The greenery layout is immaculate. Thank you. Peter and Jackie at Pitch C.

We have spent a couple of weeks here a while back and loved it. 20 minutes on the bus into York, friendly owners (Martin and Karen), hope to be back in the near future. Very clean and well-kept site, the site is a real credit to them.
