Stayed at the Ascot Hotel for 2 nights to visit the Christmas markets. Well located within the city. Hotel was very clean and rooms very spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

This hotel will take your money and refuse to change dates if you need to. Do not ever book this hotel if there is any chance you'll need to adjust dates. They will hold you ransom if you need to move and charge you twice!

The Ascot is a decently priced hotel with good access to travel links around the city. There's an underground station located one minute away, which provides a direct line to Köln Hauptbahnhof - handy if you're coming in from the airport and don't fancy a taxi. The room itself was better than average, with air conditioning, comfy beds and plenty...

I recently stayed at the Hotel Ascot in Cologne with my other half. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was great. It is decorated in traditional English stately home style. The room we had was very large with two comfy chairs for relaxing, double bed, TV, desk and storage space. The ensuite bathroom was also large and had...

This hotel was lovely to stay in. It's in a great location; next to a tram station which goes directly to the main station, and also 20 minute walk to everywhere. We only needed to use the tram for the zoo and bus station with our luggage. It is near to some night clubs so can be a bit noisy...

My husband planned a surprise trip to Colonge, Germany before Christmas. We stayed at the Ascot Hotel with our son who was 18 months at the time. Staff were warm and friendly made us feel at home. However the rooms are in dire need of a refurbishment, breakfast was not to the expected standard for a hotel in that location....

Reading other mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect! I'm pleased to say I was very happy to stay here for five days in August to explore Cologne. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful - there were even free mini croissants in reception! The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The single room I stayed...

The building is beautiful; the interior of the rooms too old; they need some renovation. Bathroom is oke quite big and good. Breakfast was basic not special but good enough and service was oke. Nice hotel close to the center of Koln and Neumarkt. Parking neighbourhood quite expensive 17 euro per day. Would recommend for short stay but hotel needs...

I have stayed in this hotel before but it was a long time ago when it was a Best Western, the decor inside has been updated a bit since then but the hotel is pretty much as I remember it. The location is quite close to the centre of Cologne, you can walk it in about 15 to 20 minutes...

The hotel is old but nice and clean. The room was ok. We stayed at the hotel only for sleepind we didn't eat there (it was more expensive then the at bars in 50 meters) The staff was helpful. We ordered handball tickets to this hotel and and we got it in time. There lot of bars and restaurants in...
