Checking out today, but I don't want to leave! That's how nice this Hilton is. We were WOWED from the minute we stepped into this hotel. The Reception area is elegant with a lot of seating. Room was quite comfortable with nice beautiful window overlooking the city. The air conditioning kept our room nice and cool. Having a bathtub was such a treat ( Not many hotels have bathtubs anymore). TV was very good size. The Breakfast Buffet is outstanding, with so much to choose from! My husband loved the Cappachino Machine. I was so impressed with the sanitation practices I saw during our stay as well. All breakfast tables were rountinely sanitized, and there are ample hand sanitizing machines throughout. The Metro stop is an easy 5 minute walk away. What REALLY makes this hotel shine, however, are the Staff! Everyone was awesome. True standouts were: EBRU at Reception. She was the friendliest and most professional reception staff member that we have had the pleasure with interacting at in a long time. MOHAMMED and LAURA replenished our Mini Bar with a smile and great attitude. ADNAN was outstanding in the Executive Lounge! All of these employees provided outstanding customer service. Thank you for an AMAZING stay!

This hotel is great for a business traveler. It is close to the airport, so about 20 euros each way by taxi and only 10 to 15 minutes. It is very comfortable, the breakfast is great, and it isn't too far from the convention center. I would not stay here if doing a city visit, bu mainly because I like to be walking distance to the main train station for aht.

This hotel has great features:
1. Service and staff
2. Cleanliness
3. Good fitness center
4. Good restaurant and lounge

However, there is a construction next door. Very noisy in the morning.
Also, laundry is very expensive. This hotel should have laundry center in the premises operated with coins like other hotels in the region.

Dear Ramaal777, Thank you for your kind words shared on TripAdvisor.com and for your recent stay at the Hilton Dusseldorf. How wonderful that you took away such positive impressions of your stay with us. Your mentioned point about the laundry center is definitely a good alternative, we might consider for future renovations. It would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you back upon your next visit to Dusseldorf. Best regards, Mathias Busch | General Manager

The staff in the hotel did deliver a great service. But all these people driven positive experiences were absorbed by the conditions of the hotel facilities. The bar area as part of the lobby did remind me on a train station with kiosk rather than a cosy place which would welcome their guests (Bar men were great despite the location!!). There was further facility related constrains which would lead me to think twice prior of choosing that hotel again. Last but not least the hotel did charge peak season room rates what caused me to rate value even lower.

Brutalist 1960's structure in the middle of nowhere, but only a short drive to Düsseldorf Fair and Airport.

Huge integrated conference center, which is, of course, closed nowadays, therefore property almost deserted.

After parking my car at the vast and empty underground parking lot (quite scary), I checked in without receiving any mention of my diamond status. Got a one level upgrade to a King Plus room on a Business Floor. After asking what Diamond privileges would be offered, I was told that the mini bar would be free (Executive Lounge closed), which comes with King Plus rooms, anyway.

Entered my room that featured a decades old design and noticed right away that wifi didn't connect. After some back and forth with front desk I was moved to another floor with working hotspot. Same room design, badly maintained. Promised free minibar was empty, so another call to front desk. In the evening I noticed that the TV didn't work. Another call to front desk 🙄 Staff member fixed it. Slept ok, but noisy A/C didn't do a good job heating.

Breakfast buffet on the other hand was quite good. It was limited due to the few guest staying (everything else would have been a waste of food), but I could imagine what the full buffet would have been like.

Staff was pleasant overall. Public spaces were - contrary to guest rooms - upgraded design wise.

Stay was a mere 65 EUR, but keep in mind they sold the same worn out room for 200 to 300 EUR + during fairs only one year ago which was (and is) a laugh riot.
Not a place I can recommend.

Great check in experience. Be mindful parking isn’t free so do check with reception. Room was a good size. All content in fridge compliment due to being in an executive room. Executive lounge served alcohol and hot food between 6 -8pm. Breakfast was good, bountiful tea options. Hot chocolate had to be made by staff in kitchen. No omelette was available to order, they had pre made plain omelettes. Overall stay was good. All ways advise putting do not disturb label on door as house keeping eager to clean rooms early as they can.

We stayed 2 nights last weekend. The room is outdated and certainly does not meet the Hilton standard. The room magnetic cards do not work, We have to swipe it several times in the lift and at the door of the room to open it. It does not help to change the cards. The worst part is the airconditioning in the room because the lowest setting we could turn is 18 degrees C but even at 18 degees C, it was still very stuffy and hot in the room. The day temperature in Dusseldorf was 25-26 degrees C. I had no other option but to turn the airconditioning ventilator to the highest stand but it made so much noise that we could not sleep well for 2 nights in a row. I lodged a complaint at the reception after the first night stay and a techician came but he said that he could not do anything. He fixed the bathroom door as it won't close. I asked for a change of room at the reception desk but my request was rejected. This is the worst Hilton ever!

We stayed on the 11th floor in one of the executive rooms. The room itself seemed fairly dated and did not include such things as USB chargers. The view out of the window was stunning, however, with a panoramic view of Düsseldorf. The mattresses were comfortable, but the TV was small and the air conditioning was awful.

The bathroom was average at best, including all of the amenities you'd expect, but it's not award-winning. There was a lip between the bathroom door and the main room that someone could hurt themselves on, so that should be dealt with quickly.

The hotel seemed empty and a whole wing was deserted and relatively unfurnished. It was very odd and gave me an unsettling feeling.

The hotel featured a nice bar with a large projector for big sporting events, and was also fairly priced.

We didn't really use the bar for long, however, as we had access to the executive lounge. This featured free drinks (in glass bottles) as well as beer and wine, but only after 6P.M. There was also food, but it looked anemic and underdone, and I didn't go for it.

The hotel itself was on the outskirts of Dusseldorf, in an industrial estate to be exact. There was easy access to the Georg-Glocke-Straße station on the Stadtbahn, which takes you directly into the city centre with reasonable fares.

Overall, I probably wouldn't stay again as it wasn't 'WOW', and it was pricey for what it was. I would come back to Dusseldorf again, and I would stay in a Hilton again, but I wouldn't stay in Hilton Dusseldorf again.

Spent a night there with the family to visit the Düsseldorf Christmas market. The hotel offers secure parking (only outdoors though), rooms are quite spacious, although in general I find that Hilton quality has decreased as opposed to let's say 10 years ago, and this in many Hiltons around the world.
The family enjoyed breakfast thanks to the many choices. Too bad there is no egg station anymore. The main reason for picking this hotel would be its proximity to Altstadt.

I was in Düsseldorf for two nights in connection with a concert. I had booked into a king guest room, but I was upgraded before check-in which was very nice. At around 140 EUR per night, the room rate was very reasonable.

My room was overall nice and pretty spacious, but there were some slightly strange quirks about the room. There was a minibar with different drinks, but it was not refrigerated and there were no glasses or bottle openers in the room. There was also no power outlet near the bed.

I tried to order room service one night, but there was no response when I called, and the bar in the lobby only served food until 10 PM.

For some reason, the nice Philosoph restaurant was only open for breakfast at the time. The breakfast buffet was pretty impressive though and overall quite nice.

I also had access to the executive suite which was pretty decent, but didn't offer much in terms of food and drinks.

The hotel's location is not super convenient and there is no train station super close by, or anything to explore in the nearby area.

But otherwise a decent stay.

Does the hotel rent out bicycles?
Answer from AlexK
29 contributions20 helpful votes
Not to my knowledge, but there is one nearby 'FordPass Bike Station Georg-Glock-Str. / Hochschule Düsseldorf', courtesy of Deutsche Bahn. Buses (e.g. SB51 - Airport bus or route 834 to main line station will take bicyles but you must purchase a bicyle ticket. The reception at the hotel is very helpful and I am sure they will assist you. I'll recommend the "Kaiserswerth" Ferry ("Rheinfaehre") as you could cycle there on one side of the river and take your bicycle back on the other side. Hope this helps.
