We have stayed at Stage 47 many times and like it for its convenience to Konigsallee and the Altstat.

It is also a very short walk from the Hauptbahnhof.

I love the room styling and the staff are always very friendly. We had a room at the back and this is quieter than the front rooms however Dusseldorf is a city and cities have some noise.

Breakfasts are plentiful and there are drinks/snacks available in the rooms as well as the bar.

On the evening we were there, a party was making their own gin and we sat in the very comfortable lounge listening and learning all about this.

There are plenty of diverse restaurants in walking distance and a big Thank you to all at Stage 47 for a great visit again.

This is a very different hotel to what I’m used to but loved the Hotel. I had a large room with a mezzanine floor accessible by a circular staircase. The living area had a largeness settee, desk and tv. The bathroom was very large too. It was very quiet and in a decent location not too far from the hauptbahnhof.

Breakfast was equally good with a decent range of food and good quality juices and coffee.

The hotel is in a great location with all sights in walking distance.
The room was amazing, comfortable, large and well designed. It can't get better in town

Have to mention as well the breakfast. The service was extremely friendly and the buffet offered was excellent and of high quality.

Rezeption team very helpful.

We stayed on account of the positive reviews here, and quite honestly am surprised! The rooms are a good size, and clean, and the parking is good (we managed to park directly outside the hotel twice- there's only space for a few cards here). However the breakfast was terrible. The choice was limited, and the quality was poor. We used the coffee machine and the latte came out in chunks. I put the coffee to the side and later told the staff and he just said "Oh" and then went away to fix the machine, leaving the chunky coffee there... the croissants didn't seem fresh, the boiled eggs were very over done. We didn't bother having breakfast on our second morning, there wasn't much point. The previous weekend we stayed at another hotel in Dusseldorf and the breakfast there was outstanding, and we were paying less. Disappointing.

Very convenient and useful location. The quality of the room was very high and it was very spacious and comfortable. The staff on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, on my last night there, there was no hot water, which was a problem for me and an inconvenience. The front desk tried to assist, but the hot water was not restored before I had to sleep. It was back on by the morning. The staff was helpful, but it seems the problem was with the system itself. Other than that, the hotel was stylish and had a very nice ambience.

This is never a 4 star hotel. there is at least one or two stars too much. The rooms have ugly and fithly carpets. impossible to get these carpets clean. so you have a microcosmos of dirt and stuff in there. where you walk barefoot? nooo.
Furthermore you cant have room service. only delivery from outside.
And no bathrobes in the batrhoom.
and last but not least, very small blankets for a king size bed. like children blankets. They dont even have different size. Standard size, of course for cost reasons.
Great, like this you dont deserve 4 stars.
i will not go back to this hotel again.

I booked a night at the place and my stay was tainted by the check-out the next day. Upon check-in, the lady at reception asked if my credit card was to be billed in € or in £, when she saw my address. I specifically told her in €, as this would save me 4% on the currency exchange rate.

When checking out, her colleague did not ask me and simply billed me in £, costing me about an extra €6. Not that much, to be honest but nonetheless still quite annoying, seeing I had been given the choice to save that money. Once I had noticed that I had been billed in £, I asked the (assistant ?) manager for a credit and rebill of the initial invoice or a refund but he refused. He basically accused me of lying, claiming that I never mentioned the € vs. £ payment in the first place and told me that it was upon me to ask the check-out clerk in any case. So why did the receptionist even bother to ask with me when I checked in, I wonder?! He then also weighed my point up against them having offered me a FREE late check-out and another favour, which was however voluntarily given by the hotel, so nothing he can re-neg after the fact.

Anyway, emails were fired back & forth about 3-4 times and to cut a long-story short, the manager decided to not only call me a liar but additionally accused me of calling his colleague a liar and then peaked at calling it blackmail, when I mentioned that his response/s and tone were worthy of a complaint and a bad review. At one point, he even told me that he would refund me the ~€6, if I paid €74.25 for the “FREE” late check-out. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, to be honest. It’s akin to being offered a drink on the house by a restaurant and then charged for it. Plainly ludicrous!

The appropriate response after my initial email could have been something like: “Apologies that this has gone wrong. Even though we're not certain we’ve made a mistake, we give you the benefit of the doubt and would like to offer you an apology. However, considering you had a free late-check out and …, we are unable to refund you any money.” Basically, by offering up a SINGLE APOLOGY, all would have been fine. But NO … no way was any form of apology forthcoming, the (assistant) manager managed to add insult to injury instead, with his remarks!

But then he should know: If you work in the services' industry, it’s an absolutely no-no to call your customers liars or accuse them of potential blackmail! One member of staff has tainted the image of the hotel so badly for me that I can only give it 1 star, as that's the lowest rating I can give! In fact, I was very close to forwarding his email to the trade association/s. All in all this makes it the worst response/experience I’ve had from/at a hotel and I’ve been in 100s of them. The only shame: I couldn’t give it 0 stars!

Wow. These guys came up with a theme and stuck to it. I would say it's something along the lines of 'Rock Star Luxe'. I can't over-state how consistently thought out and well done this place is. I booked 2 rooms for myself and a colleague.

His room was a great studio-style room with enormous ceilings and a mezzanine bedroom. I appear to have been put in what I assume is the best room in the hotel, it's number 403, ask for it by name - an enormous sitting/lounge-room, separate bedroom, plasma screens everywhere, outside sitting area and stairs onto the roof and views across the town.

Each room is named after a famous German film or music star, I can't remember the name assigned to my room but I will know him if I ever meet him as a ten-foot high print of his face adorned the lounge-room. He looked disturbingly like Bon Scott, but I was assured by my German colleague he's a famous German.

What else can I say? Breakfast is superb, staff are young, fun and professional, the whole place is small, boutique and hip hip hip. The rooms are so cool it seems a shame to sleep.

A rare find. Enjoy.

Had booked two nights here, ended up only staying one - after going to bed at around midnight, an electrical vibrating noise went off every five minutes for about 8 seconds (yes, I timed it). Called to reception, and the guy there apologized and said this had happened before, and that it was supposed to have been fixed. He said he would move us to an alternative room. So, we packed up, and 15 minutes later, we were in a new room. We were just getting to sleep about 45 minutes later, and the exact same thing happened. It was about 1am by this time, and quite frankly we couldn't be bothered having to pack and change rooms again, and possibly face the risk of having the same thing happen a third time. We managed to get some sleep. We decided to cancel our second night and move to another hotel. The front reception person was not apologetic, and said we should have advised them of the second fault and that we could not cancel. So we had to argue with her about the rooms not being fit for purpose, and asking for her to give me the details of the relevant consumer protection authorities in Dusseldorf that I could contact to complain about the hotel, noting that the noise appeared to be an electrical fault. She then agreed to cancel the room, and I also obtained a refund for the first night, given we only got a few hours interrupted sleep. One fault I could excuse, but not two, and then not the attitude of the front desk staff. Unacceptable.
