We arrived in Düsseldorf towards the end of November for a 5 night stay. We asked the taxi man to take us to this establishment and he had never heard of it, great start. On arrival onto the street the taxi man said 'in 30 years as a taxi driver this is only the second time i have been down...

First time I slept in a hotel with my clothes on! Hallways are filthy, rooms n beds are as bad as can be, toilet smells like piss and the shower had remainders of hair and dried soap. I did not get to meet any of the staff but other reviewers say and old lady cleans. Manager forced me to pay...

I booked at Artus based on price and location and was worried after seeing some terrible reviews on here! Artus was perfect for us as a base for a mix of work and exploration. The hostess was very helpful and friendly, giving us info on how to get around and even changing our room to downstairs, to accommodate our bikes....

Contrary to other reviewers, we found the hostess friendly and helpful, albeit a tad eccentric. The breakfast was fine. However, the accommodation was awful. The beds were not proper beds and the bathroom smelt of urine. Everything was old and musty and it was a really depressing place to stay. The photos on the internet must have been taken somewhere...

Words fail to describe the reality. It looks good on the internet, but really it is not.The wallpaper, the furniture, the curtains, the bathroom, really basic standard but the overall feeling puts you down.It is like a dead person's house,as it is a house rather than a hotel. We had requested via email, a double room, with a double mattress and double...

Ok, so here I was looking for a cheap place to stay in Dusseldorf after getting rather drunken and buying tickets to see Take That. Don't give up on me just yet, it was a moment of alcohol fuelled weakness. I decided to sway away from my normal "search, sort by price, cheapest first, book" method and spent little bit...

The hotel is very little, only about 10 rooms, the staff is kind and they speak a bit of english, price is a deal, but furnitures are a little old. I booked two weeks in advance, but I was given a room under the roof, with a very deep staircase. Some difficulties in parking in the street in front of...

Hotel doesn't take cards only cash. Walked in to what could have been a dusty museum which had wood panelling covering the majority of the hallway and landing. If want breakfast expect a VERY light one and for 7 euros per person you would be better off getting the 712 tram into Heine Allee and going to any restaurant there....
