My step-daughter was married on July 8th and friends and family took over most of the hotel for her wedding. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, breakfast delicious and the beautiful garden was an unexpected delight. The staff was incredibly patient and could not do enough for us. The day of the wedding they brought ironing boards and irons... More

The Room was Clean and had a small day room as well. Location was just walking distance from Gruga Park and close to the Main street with choice of restaurants. The Breakfast spread in the hotel was good.

The hotel is nicely updated, has quiet rooms (bathroom appeared to be recently refurbished) and good breakfast buffet is served. The staff is helpful and friendly. And the price level is on a medium level. The hotel is a good choice for all that have some business to do in the city center of Essen. As it is a 5-10... More

Most of the staff were quite arrogant. The room was alright, but the bed was uncomfortable (extremely soft mattress). My friend who stayed in a different room said the same thing. The bathroom was nice enough. Good breakfast buffet. No room service whatsoever. Well located for the "Messe" in Essen though.

A good comfortable hotel for a business trip. Rooms are sufficiently furnished and very clean. Shower is fantastic! Heating very effective. Breakfast sufficient and with a good range. I suspect the rooms on the lower floors and facing the street could be a little noisy. Very close to the convention centre.

I was traveling to a trade show in Dusseldorf and all hotels were sold out. Found this place and was amazed by the hospitality of this hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly and the rooms clean and comfy. It's a garni hotel, so only breakfast is offered - pretty good buffet that offers plenty of options. In case you don't... More

The services associated with hotel living are missing so one could not describe this as an hotel. The room was small but OK the bed comfortable enough & the bathroom sufficient. There was however, no way to make a cup of tea or coffee, no refrigerator, no restaurant no bar only a vending machine in the lobby area. The TV... More

A unique gem in Germany! We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights as we were moving house. When we called up to enquire about a room the lady was very friendly and offered us a "business room". The room was nice and spacious, good size bathroom and the great thing about the TV was that you could rotate it... More
