This is our 4th stay here whilst visiting our son who's based near by. As always the welcome is friendly, the food traditional and tasty and the breakfast great value being fresh and plentiful. The rooms are warm and comfortable.

Forth visit , always good value. Warm comfy , clean rooms, good breakfast, great bar and restaurant . Also they still have very pretty barmaids ! Very attractive beer garden which, in summer, must be wonderful. However when we visit it's either raining or freezing cold !! Paulaner beer is excellent. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Ok, where do I start. The family were traveling to visit our daughter based near Paderborn, so I thought that I'd check out the area on Tripadvisor. We had stayed at another hotel when we visited last year but we had flown and used public transport, this time we were bringing the car. We decided to stay at Alt-Enginger Muhle...

Not our first visit , and won't be our last. We stayed 2 nights. Rooms are spotless and comfy. Food in restaurant is good. Beer is great. Staff are charming. I only wish it did not always rain when we have been there as the have a great beer garden.

We arrived after a nightmare journey across Europe and the hotel lifted our spirits immediately. The staff were welcoming and friendly (and spoke brilliant English) and we had be unexpectedly upgraded to an apartment room which was very spacious and perfectly clean. The room was huge, which it needed to be to hold the massive bed. It was very comfortable...

Stayed for three nights for a wedding in nearby Schloss Neuhaus. Good rural location but not too far from a bus route and the town of Elsen. All the staff speak English, and are very helpful. Would happily book again!

This is a fantastic little place. We didn’t specify a time we would arrive but they kept the kitchen open late especially for us - the staff were so courteous and friendly. The room was adorable and very clean. Excellent breakfast and as much as you want for $5 Euros. Beautiful building and lovely surroundings. Would definitely recommend and will...

Stayed for three nights whilst visiting my son who is stationed at Paderborn. Rooms are clean and cosy. Food is good value and tasty, and popular with locals. The beer is great! However the best thing about this place is the staff ! I speak virtually no German but they were patient with me and spoke pretty good English. They...

We stayed here for two nights, taking one evening meal in the restaurant, and two breakfasts. The building has a long history, and has been sensitively modernised - it is situated right on the edge of the built-up area, overlooking countryside. The staff were very welcoming, and the meal we took in the restaurant just after our arrival was very...

“Our room was above the reception and had a veranda overlooking the beer garden and fields beyond. It was an apartment but we had been unexpectedly upgraded from a standard double.”

“The front of the old mill building is only a few metres from the road. Traffic is very light though, and I wouldn't have thought noise would be a problem - sound insulation seems to be good.”
