This sounded like a good idea at the time, twin beds, ex-prison cell, could be a giggle. Initial impressions are fun - an old car in the car park with a mannequin driving plus an old prison bus. Reception is behind bars as is the bar. True to the website your room is an old cell and in our case... More

OK, we weren't really held captive but this converted prison definitely held our interest and provided a pleasant night's sleep and morning breakfast. We opted for the "comfort" room rather than one of the cells but I'm sure you will be happy either way. Good value.

A tasteful and interesting conversion from a prison. Very clean. A good breakfast. A few minutes walk from the restaurants in the town. A little strange that the hotel's own restaurant was closed for about 3 months over the summer. The main thing that would stop us from staying more than one night is that the room was quite small.... I have definitely never stayed at a place like this before. This establishment was formerly a prison that has been converted into a kitschy hotel. It has the Spartan foundation of a prison to include steel bars and doors, but it is full of interesting modern paintings and décor. It was not a perfect stay - this hotel lacked certain... More

Sleeping in a old prison is a special thing. Very nice hotel . Fiendly poeple. Really something to do once. Rooms are the old cells, and the whole hotel is decorated to remind you of of the old prison.

The hotel was a former prision, the concept is cool, but the lack of Wifi in the room became my stay in something less comfortable than planned. I was there for a business trip and this was an important drawback. In any case, that was the only issue in my 3 day stay, the hotel staff is really pleasant, allow... More

We chose the hotel for our 1 night stay coming back from Croatia based on the original idea that the hotel was actually a former prison. And we were not disappointed. The concept of transforming a prison in a hotel is great, and they managed to deliver it. The room we had was a Cell double room, so no private bathroom,... More

We decided to stay here because of the novelty value of the hotel , it was a very good choice !. We had a basic cell room ( all part of the experience). The room was very comfortable and the haribo on the pillow was a nice touch , yes the room is basic but the bed was a good... More

A very good hotel, the rooms were clean (even if they had bars on the window). The staff were very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel . There was a good choice of food at breakfast. A very enjoyable stay ***

This is a fun idea, which has been well done. A former prison has been converted into a hotel. Single rooms, are basic former cells, which have been well renovated. Ok, so the toilet is in your room, the shower is down the corridor and the window is small and behind bars. BUT the bed was extremely comfy with a... More
